Unfortunately, this was a 3-star visit today. After debating on where to eat, we decided to give Tano a try. We came shortly before the end of brunch on a Sunday. We didn't have a reservation, but didn't need one as the place was almost empty. Our server greeted us and made a comment of the brunch menus. Since it was close to the end of brunch, she said she would check if we needed a new menu. Not a problem for us, we weren't there for brunch...just hungry. Our hostess never returned, so we assumed the menus were okay...and they turned out to be okay. It would have been nice to have the follow up. We had started with some shareables that consisted of avocado toast on a Blue Oven English muffin and fried brussel sprouts with bacon. I think the muffin could have been toasted a bit longer; texture as whole was one sided and needed a crunch. The brussel sprouts had been cooked for too long as they were slightly bitter. I had a burger with tomato bisque. I had as for the burger to be medium, but it came out well. I don't think the meat was seasoned before cooking as the exterior was visibly well seasoned and the interior was rather bland. My bisque did not come out with the burger and I had to ask for it. I also had to ask for mustard...I was not offered ketchup or mustard when given the burger. I would recommend letting customers know that it is a hot mustard; some people may not bother tasting before applying and will be in for a surprise. The tomato bisque (not pictured) was probably the highlight of the meal. Right amount of acidity, salt, and basil. A well balanced tomato bisque packed with flavor. Overall, food was okay and could be elevated with a few simple tweaks. For as slow as the place was, service was a bit slow.

Yesterday was my first visit to Tano. My husband and I went for our first date night since pandemic started and let me tell you: this place did not disappoint, especially for a special occasion! The ambiance was perfect. Noise level was relatively low, the lighting was relaxing, and the decor was harmonious. The staff was very welcoming. Our server, Marie, was exceptional—not intrusive yet aware, attentive and knowledgeable, and spot on with all of her recommendations. Cocktails were perfectly executed and with creative takes on classic drinks. We ordered the Millbrook Manhattan and Miami Trails Margarita to start, then moved onto an Old Fashioned and Aviación de Melón. (That margarita was exquisite!) Everything we ordered for food was balanced, with perfectly sized portions, carefully contrasting flavors and textures that worked well together, and cooked to perfection. For starters, we ordered the spinach dip, sprout n’ snout, and short rib croquettes. For mains, we ordered the redfish special with roasted poblano and sweet corn risotto and the maple shrimp with sweet potato hash. For dessert, we couldn’t pass up the gianduja cremeux. Overall: I cannot wait to return and I HIGHLY recommend that you try this place! PS. If you visit for a date, be sure to pick up a deck of the Rekindle cards (pictured). They’re from a local business. You’ll have some fun questions to ask and ponder!

We came here for our anniversary and were not disappointed. Situated in lovely downtown Loveland, Tano Bistro is a delightful place to come for a nice meal out or for a meet up with a friend for a cocktail or dessert. Our server, Bethany, was amazing. She was very attentive, warm, enthusiastic and knowledgable. She was the perfect balance of engaging and also giving us space to enjoy our anniversary meal. She recommended the pork chop meal and boy was she right. That sucker was amazing. The polenta cake that went with it was a bit dry, but honestly I think that's just what you get in a polenta cake. Also, while maybe it was dry, the flavor and coating was still amazing. My wife had stuffed salmon which she also loved. We both had a cocktail and they made them very well and the price of those were quite reasonable. I ordered off the menu and I was shocked how cheap mine was compared to the cocktails on their drink menu. Price in general, this is definitely not a cheap place to go, but I would say the value was there. For our anniversary, they gave us a free dessert: the flourless chocolate cake. That was amazing too... and I don't like chocolate. Well done, Tano and Bethany! Thank you for making our Anniversary a special night!

The atmosphere was the shining ✨️ of our experience at Tano's. We sat on the rooftop and really enjoyed the breeze and setting. Sadly, the dishes we ordered were not as great... We ordered the shrimp appetizer, the Rib eye steak handheld meal, a chicken club, and the fish tacos. Looked really nice in appearance, but the taste left us feeling not so great. The shrimp appetizer was okay, but the seasoning was not blended well and was overly strong, while the quac it comes with was also just okay. The best part was the Tano chips that came with the order.

We finished the tacos, but they had a strange flavor that just didn't go with the fish taco experience you're used to or expect. The chicken club was okay, thus the 2 stars, but the few fries that came with them were better. The worst part was the Rib Eye sandwich. The sauce was overwhelming and left a bad, sour aftertaste that was too unbearable to finish, especially as it drenched the bread it was on. The meat was very fat and had little flavor. It came with raw veggies on the bread that did not compliment the meat or sauce. It was a very strange combination...

There are not a lot of options with sides. We got the rice and beans which were not cooked all the way and were very watery. Maybe it's a thing, but we didn't like it too much.

Lastly, the beer options were also limited. We had no draft/tap options, only can and bottles of a few beers, so we ended up trying one of the choices and returned it because no one liked it.

The staff was super nice! and made it easy to enjoy the environment despite the bad food but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone or return unless they vamp up the beer selection and get some different chefs/recipes in there, not for those prices. We wanted to make it a nice lunch/dinner spot, but the environment isn't enough to cover any bad...

We visited this restaurant again and it is going down hill. The service was again confused and spotty. The server forgot to bring us 2 drinks that were ordered and had to be reminded.

Our appetizer was the ricotta and honey which was delicious! Dip was incredible and my stepmom said she wanted the recipe. The portion was conservative.

My sister, dad, and stepmom all ordered the "mad Thai" entree for $22. I got the stuffed salmon. My dish was good, but again was portioned very conservatively. For $31, why are you only giving me 2 asparagus pieces as one of the listed sides? Why are you giving me a half scoop of mashed potatoes? Come on.. people notice these things.

The unholy terror was the "mad Thai" dish everyone else ordered. I tried a bite of it, it tasted like slimy spicy mush. The owner/chef probably spent $2 on ingredient costs putting that disaster together, yet has the nerve to charge $22 for it. Raw veggies, overcooked mushy rice noodles.

I got lucky, my dish was the shining star, but my company just wanted to leave and pick up a pizza.

They sent all 3 dishes back and said they were disgusting. I've never seen that happen in a restaurant before.

The server was gracious and took those 3 disasters off the check and tried to see if we wanted to try something else. My party did not and wanted to graciously get the check and leave.

Our last visit was pretty good with their "taste of Tano" menu. Good value for money and food quality was strong. We were told that menu isn't offered on Saturdays.

If you all continue to cut corners on portion sizes and concoct culinary disasters like your "mad Thai" I can't see this place doing well...
