Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Loveland

The food and smoothies are delicious! And a great price too. However, the online ordering system may be unreliable, and be aware there is a lunch rush. I'll definitely go back, but a series of events caused an epic my 2nd time there, but was finally resolved. Details: I placed an online order Monday at 5:19pm with a pickup time of 5:33pm. I arrived at 6:15pm.... (1) the order never showed up on their system even though the charge went through. It happened to another woman earlier that day also. They couldn't make it because a storm started about 6pm and the power went out at 6:01pm, but my meal should have been ready before the outage. (3) Tuesday the power was still out (bad storm) not their fault but I had driven there to discover this, and Wednesday 10am I called to say I'd pick up my food at noon. I got there at 12:19pm and there was (4) a huge line at the drive thru and inside. My food was not ready, which was disappointing. Everyone thought I was being impatient when I said my food should have been done, saying "ours too!" but I explained I'd been waiting for 3 days, since Monday and called a few hours prior. I feel a little bad about that because it was the power outage that extended the delay, but I didn't want other customers to feel like I was a "karen" or that the owner was playing favorites by getting me my order before theirs. I ate my food and it was DELICIOUS and now I feel bad for being demanding at a time the owner was running a marathon fulfilling orders for the lunch rush, pacifying dozens of hangry customers. Three people order food. We had to confirm our order 2x before she rang us out because she seemed very confused on why one person didn’t want tomatoes on their sandwich. One didn’t want bacon. You would think that is an easy alteration but guess not. We only got 1 full order then 2 partial orders from the other 2 peoples orders. We asked for the rest of the food. They said we didn’t order it. The girl that took our orders and rang us out wouldn’t say anything as to why she didn’t ring up the way we ordered it or why it was missing. The other 2 kept arguing with us that all 3 of us didn’t order. The food that we did get was terrible because it was put together with as what can be best described as they were inconvenienced that people were in the store ordering. Ugh.. how frustrating. I’ve never had a problem with them until today. I always order a banana smoothie, usually as a peanut butter cup smoothie with NO chocolate, and add whey. This time it took longer than expected (totally fine, I don’t mind waiting) but this time they handed me out my food first and after a few minutes, the employees kept looking out the drive-through window at me. I didn’t think anything of this, but as I drove away, I realized my banana shake definitely had chocolate in it (the banana smoothie I usually get is yellow believe it or not). To me, this tells me that they realize they made a mistake, and still knowingly handed me out an incorrectly made food item.
