Oh wow. I hate leaving bad reviews, but this place was awful and management needs a huge wake up call. I almost reported to the health department, but actually don’t know how to do that or if they’d even care. Either way that was our first and last visit to the restaurant and such a waste of $. Staff is not very friendly although our server seemed very sweet, but stretched thin from maybe tables in the back? It took awhile for food to come out and the place wasn’t too busy with minimal filled tables. We had a roach come greet us before our server finally did. My husband told me to move my foot and there the roach was…in the main dining room…with the lights on and coming to say “hi” to us…out in the open. That usually means a place is overrun with them. We had multiple ants crawling on our table and then us. We were swiping them away through the whole meal. The beautiful Saltillo tile on the floor was disgusting. It looked like decades of grime caked on it. Floors and tables were dirty but we walked in and sat down so we were committed at this point. We usually like to try run down hole in the wall places because they’re there for a reason and usually little gems, but they’re usually at least clean. I’m actually not sure how this place is still open? Where did all these good reviews come from???The chips and rice were decent, but EVERYTHING else was very bad. It reminded me of a buffet restaurant with old food in Houston in the 80s and 90’s called Pancho’s.But worse. Pancho’s was notorious for cheap, old food. This is not authentic Mexican food. We ordered both cheese dips to try and the yellow was basically canned burned cheese. The salsa and white queso have no flavor and the white also tasted canned and like slop. Definitely not worth something to pay for. The tea was questionable as to whether it was old or not as it had a strange flavor. If you think this is good Mexican food, you are missing out and I’m not sure this place would look clean to anyone. This is one of the worst Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been to. I hate leaving bad reviews, but these are obvious problems and this isn’t stuff management would just overlook. It’s more of a neglecting...
Read moreMy friend and I like to go there quite a bit to the one in Lowell. But there's this one waitress who just seems like she's not happy and not happy serving us every time we go. Finally the last time we went, my friend got there before I did and had already gotten her food but when I got there I barely got the woman to look at me and I had to ask for a drink. She never brought me my salsa even though we asked three times. Another lady, I think maybe the owner, asked me if she ever brought my salsa and I said no and we still didn't get it! They never even came and took my order. She passed me several times and just either gave me a dirty look or purposely avoided looking at me at all! And even avoided a lady past us in the corner just so she wouldn't have to come past us. That lady kept trying to get her attention and finally just got up and brought the waitress her cup to get it refilled! I kept turning around looking at them and there were two ladies just standing there doing nothing. She saw me looking and she still didn't come! We finally just got up and left after my friend paid for hers at the counter. I don't know what we did but that is unacceptable and just downright rude! It's a restaurant and that's where they get their business from is serving people. And it's sad because that was the one that's close to my home and the one that I really like to go to! But even my friend didn't get another refill on her drink either and does not want to go back there because of how horribly we were treated! And we used to go all the time! And I like to go on Friday nights after church to get salsa and chips. I don't think we'll be going back. We might try the other one in Rogers or another Mexican...
Read moreWent here with my coworker when we got off work to have lunch while we ended our day. We had our computers and my co worker had her bag. My co worker orderes fajitas and she did not get her tortillas. No big deal she asks for them and the waitress brought them out and tossed them on the table and walked away. She was very short with us. As she usually is when we come in. Didn't think much of it. My co worker got in her bag and pulled out her wallet to leave the server a tip and we grabbed our stuff and went to the front to cash out. We talk to the host to pay. My co worker pays for hers and as im signing for mine our waitress walks up and says something to us but we didnt understand her. The hostess then says she wants to know whats in your bag. At that moment the waitress grabs my co workers bag off of her shoulder and starts looking in it and my co worker was on the phone with a client and was unable to say anything. When the waitress seen nothing was in the bag other then paperwork and her computer she pushes the bag back to my co worker grabs someone elses ticket and walks off. I have gone here my entire life. I even grew up with one of the owners daughters. I am completely floored at how we were treated today. This used to be my favorite place and a huge childhood memory of mine. Then when we call to say what happened we catch attitude then. Not a sorry nothing. Wasn't asking for money back or the tip wasn't asking for free food. Just wanted acknowledgement of what happened was not ok. We work in health care. So the fact she just grabbed our belongings and tried to go through it was an even bigger issue. We were horribly treated...
