I was told there would be a 30 day guarantee. My daughter was sent home from school with lice 2 weeks after having the full treatment. They said it wouldn't be honored because there was 1 person in the house that didn't receive the full treatment. They didn't receive treatment because they don't and didn't have lice or nits. I don't recommend unless you plan on bringing every person in the house all at once where they will charge $25 to check and inevitably find lice in everyone whether it is there or not and charge another $200. I spent almost $500 less than 2 weeks ago, not including all the money spent treating my entire house (clothes, furniture, new hair brushes/supplies, etc.). I work in a hospital where we do lice checks and treatments on a regular basis, so I know how to properly check for lice. The reason I spent the money to go here is because I thought it would save me time and headache. The $15 discount I received for my previous 5 star review is not worth this mess. The treatment provided yesterday was "free" since I signed up for their monthly subscription that covers 2 lice treatments a year for $10/month. However the treatments shouldn't have counted as 1 of the 2 treatments from the subscription, since the treatment clearly didn't work 2 weeks ago. If the treatment provided yesterday also didn't work they will not be honoring the 30 day guarantee since the entire household wasn't being treated as well. I called the school and the RN let me know there is no other child with lice and there is not outbreak currently. The tech we had the first time was very nice and great with kids, but as for the facility itself,...
Read moreI loved the clinic, the treatment plan, and I thought they were knowledgeable. However, the 30 day guarantee is really a 7 day guarantee I believe. I called after 7 days but before 30 days and she basically said if I have not seen a bug in the 7 days following treatment then it was not their fault and my daughter had it again not from the original. I wasnât calling to dispute thay I was just calling for info, but the owner was QUICK to tell me that it was not because the treatment didnât work if my daughter does still have lice and that if I didnât see a bug in the first 7 days then it wasnât their fault. Just beware, itâs a 7 day guarantee, not 30.
Also, do not wear nice clothes, they completely ruined my shirt with the oil and I specifically asked if the oil was going to ruin and the technician said no. So I put on a brand new $25 shirt, and it was ruined. When I called to let them know, they offered an apology but no compensation, they could have at least offered A free follow up check for my daughter or a discount off of a further treatment. But like I said, clean facility and knowledgeable people. Will use again, but with the understanding to wear old clothes and that itâs a 7...
Read moreI highly recommend this service for lice and knit removal. Tara is amazing! You schedule an appointment over the phone. Make sure the hair is clean, detangled and straightened. Then you come in and they have the client sit in a chair while they use a machine to heat treat the hair which takes about 30min. Then they use a lice comb to remove the knits followed by a 100% dimethicone oil. Then you let the oil sit and after 30min, the oil can be washed out at home with Dawn dish soap or their clarifying shampoo. Thatâs when the at home treatment process of all clothes, bedding, belongings starts. Also remember to remove any car seat covers and wash and all heat treat those in the dryer.
Itâs recommended to have the hair of every other family member checked the same day so they can offer a 30 day lice-free guarantee. Itâs $25 for the head check. That fee is waived if they need treatment and proceed with treatment.
This process doesnât use any pesticides like the box treatments do, which is another reason why we selected this option. Simply heat, removal, then dimethicone oil treatment. And the entire process can be completed and under two hours depending on the length in the...
