I just got racially profiled at this store. I came in, second experience with my family because the first one alone was so great and looked forward to introducing my husband and the kids to this nice place. We started well, 3 young folks helped us, the sweetest ones I had ever seen.. until we went to the deli.. I stood there for 10 mins, they were all staring at me, not even smiling to at show me that they saw me. One lady was warming up I guess her lunch and looked me in the eyes, I smiled again hoping I finally got her attention, but she walked pass me, carrying her lunch and left. 2 ladies came way after me, the lady at the deli gave them the biggest smile and started talking to them and helped them. I got TREATED like I WAS INVISIBLE. Having been a Rogers-Lowell Chamber of Commerce ambassador, this is one of the most prohibited behavior we want to see in Northwest Arkansas. I am black and speak more than 3 languages including FRENCH, ENGLISH, SPANISH and GERMAN. For someone to look at me and assume that I do not speak their language and avoiding me for that reason was pretty bad⦠the universal language for great customer service is A SMILE!!!! All they had to do was smile and it was going to be ok and would understand they may need my help helping them help meā¦. Instead, they chose to make me feel unwanted. I called for the store manager and will be expecting the superior management call. I sure will be back to that store, to at least make sure the problem was resolved and no other black person, or even other person of color, or in general anyone else they donāt like to see, has to go through this, and if I notice the same, this will be reported again to the chamber...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEdit: we have been back multiple times now, and every single time the staff has been wonderful, pointed us towards where what we were looking for in the store. We have gone back to the deli, they have a microwave so you can heat the food if itās not hot enough! The lady who works at the deli is super sweet and made some amazing mochi balls! And the wontons with sauce were very good! Always trying something new here when weāre close by and hungry. Canāt wait to go home and try this cake!
Also bathrooms and store were both clean.
Original- This place had very friendly staff, and many choices. They actually had the quail eggs I have been looking for, and surprised me with hot food at the deli, however even before getting to the register I tried one of the wontons and they were so hard and dry that I wished I could of exchanged them for fresh ones, the food was cold before leaving the store. I will be back, to try...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was very surprised to see how clean and organized this store was. It is brand new though. Just opened a couple of days ago. I just happened to be in town. I grew up in the grocery business and worked it about 25 years. I would guess that, the store is not even half full with inventory. It had enough inventory though. We bought a number of items. Prices were about the same as Dallas and maybe a tad bit cheaper than Little Rock. The shelf item tags were much better than I anticipated. The checkers spoke English. I didn't feel like I was back in Asia, where there is little to no customer service. Deli only had a few items. There were plenty of empty shelves. The men's restroom was nice and clean. We'll see what it's like the next time I through here. I already asked my friends if they made it over here. It is kind of...
