Update: Went back to give them another shot, only to learn the woman who works behind the counter is extremely homophobic. This store has only given negative experiences. There are plenty of better card shops in the area who are friendly, passionate, and care about you and your business.
Firstly, when I first arrived in this town, I went to Chaos to see if they could support a group I would bring (having enough space with chairs and such) and they said they could easily accommodate everyone. When we arrived, the place was extremelly cramped with simply not enough chairs or space, and the space that there was was shoulder to shoulder. This felt very disengenious and seemed to just be a way to get us in the store.
Secondly. Recently I was interested in buying some new products, so I asked when the products would release. They gave me the date they would be in stock and told me to come back then. When I returned. I was told they were sold out due to preorders. I was never given the option to preorder so I wasnt aware that was a possibility. When I brought this up, they said they would hold back some of the next shipment for me so I could get first pick since I didnt know I could have preordered. When I went back, I made sure to get there early as to not hold up the product. I was told they were sold out due to preorders again. I assume they forgot what they had told me, however it is very unprofessional to not give the buying options when I am very clearly interested in giving business and purchasing product. As well as making promises and giving me dates to return just to be told the same thing. Communication between business and customer at Chaos is extremelly weak and haphazard. It also feels that they will say whatever you want to hear to get you into the store.
Lastly, when you are in the store. They dont seem to care to help you unless you activelly seek out an employee. There have been times where I will walk in, say hello, and stand at the counter clearly wanting to purchase something. The owners will look at me directly, and continue their conversation with whomever they are talking to without moving to the front counter. When I finally say that im needing some help, they will take alot of their time actually getting to the counter, as if they really dont care whether you are buying something or not.
Honestly their have been many game shops Ive been to where the staff openly wants to help you and make a good impression. But this store feels like just another shop that doesnt have anyone who cares that you are there. It feels like a closed group of people having a place to hang out rather than a place of business. Needless to say I will not be returning. And I suggest anyone thinking of checking out this shop to pay attention to how they present themselves and how...

I went to this shop for the second time in forever today mostly out of curiosity. As a social gamer, I enjoy checking out the local game shops, browsing their selection and chatting with the person at the counter about the products they are selling. This was not the case at Chaos Games.
When I arrived, I walked into the lobby area to see one person staring at me. I asked if they had some Magic The Gathering cards, and they simply replied with, “you’ll have to use the kiosk.” Ok... so I went to the kiosk in the small corner at the front of the building. I began by searching for “Magic: The Gathering”. After 5 minutes minimum, the kiosk finally loaded an irrelevant selection of miscellaneous products. “Maybe my search was too broad?” So I looked to my left, and saw a card in a pack, Vivien of the Arkbow. I searched this card specifically. Again, 5 minutes passed, twiddling my thumbs and looking at the decorations, finally the kiosk loaded. I thought to myself, “what if I wanted multiple cards?” And laughed to myself about the idea of coming into a shop, to look online, for cards at the shop I’m looking online at.. a bit redundant.
Finally the person in the back mumbled, “Guess I’ll see what’s going on up there”. When she came to the front I casually asked, “so if somebody comes in, looking for Magic card singles, this is how they find them in your store?” “Yep”. “Really?” “Yes, most people really like it. It’s really popular in our other shops.” “So if I wanted to look at your selection I can’t.. I have to look online?” “Yep”
The cards were right in my eye sight but she refused to let me view them. What a business...
Read moreTerrible experience from my end. Staff is not friendly unless you know your stuff I'm assuming. They are not willing to help and when they do they always are giving off "hurry up" vibes. When they do help it's not even good help, just literally helping you to get out of their store. It may be fine to play your games there and all, but to shop at I do not recommend. Instead just go to Monolith Games instead in Siloam Springs, AR. The staff over there are 100x more friendlier and are more willing to help you out with anything. I wanted to try a new card game out and the staff at Monolith Games were so friendly and even explained how the game worked. Definitely do not shop here as they don't care about you and only your money. If you ask for help they are not willing to help from their heart like...
