So, my wife and I finally decided to try some newer items from their super extensive menu (half of which I'm sure even the hotel staff aren't aware of). But, what a grave mistake that turned out to be. We ordered the following:
Gobi 65 Aloo tikki rollup Kulche chole Chicken tikka masala rice bowl
Other than the Gobi 65 (well, had to pick at least 1 good item from the 4 I had. This item was the most edible of the lot) and chicken tikka masala, nothing else even had any real taste. In all honesty, I don't know why they have named it 'Chicken tikka masala rice bowl' when they're serving the curry on top of white rice. Where is the creativity?
Now, coming to the highlight of my dinner - Aloo tikki rollup and Kulche chole. These were so out of the world that I still have no clue as to why they were even on the menu with such 'fancy' names. The only thing I liked about my food was the packaging. It clearly was a sign indicating me not to disturb the pretty foil.
Aloo tikki rollup: Bland potato roll. This was a maida wrap stuffed with half roasted mash potatoes with 2-3 veggies soaked in vinegar. Literally, a kid could make this.
Kulche chole: Bland chickpeas stuffed bun. This was a weird looking bun stuffed with plain chickpeas and some mystery sauces and onions. If you're expecting chole masala, you could probably remove the plain chickpeas from this item and use it to cook the chole curry by yourself at home. Would at least be tasty that way.
All in all, stay away from this place and save money. Or if you are planning to buy food in Lowell, please do not turn into this plaza looking for 'tasty' food. You will be scarred for life. There are tons of other amazing options in Lowell.
Cherry on top was the lady's attitude on the phone while I was placing the order. This place really thinks too much of itself. NEVER going...
Read moreIf you're anything like me, most experiences with Indian food and restaurants fall into the bad or avoid category. I figured, okay, it's a fusion restaurant and I should give one of the fusion dishes a try. I was shocked to find that the Chicken Tikka Masala Pizza was both a good dish, and a decent pizza. The best way to describe it is mildly spicy (a bit of a slow burner), with obvious Indian inspiration that still tasted like a good pizza. I'm not saying it's like a pineapple pizza, but if you're adventurous enough to try pineapple pizza, give this one a shot. Trying their strictly American chicken tenders, they were average. A bit bland, but the sauce helps. If you like tenders, you won't be wowed or offended by this offering. I've only dined once, but they seem like they might have more to offer. I'd both recommend it, but also think I shouldn't be the only review. I've only...
Read moreNew restaurant with an interesting take on Indian and Italian foods. Hard to find as it is tucked between a few markets and behind the Jiffy Lube. Inside is small but really nice. Lovely decor. The woman working the front counter was very nice and made ordering simple. Easy to read menu as well. Ordered the Gobi Manchurian to start. Cauliflower was lightly sauteed with onions and peppers. Very enjoyable. Also ordered the vegetable korma pizza. Pizza dough was thick and slightly undercooked. Did a fantastic job holding on to the piled on veggies and the korma sauce (very creamy and not overpowering). I certainly plan on making more trips to try more...
