Our kids absolutely adore this place. My partner and I are particularly fond of their Samosa channa. Their pizza items are not only creative but also healthy and delicious. I particularly appreciate their frequent use of curry leaves, which adds a unique South Indian twist to their dishes, which is quite rare in Indian restaurants in the US.

I tried their coconut paneer, and I could definitely taste the curry leaves. It’s a refreshing change from the usual Indian dishes. Their veggie crust is a delightful fusion of Indian (north and south) flavors and Italian, with a healthy twist. I’m particularly fond of their gluten-free veggie crust made with cauliflower, carrots, and peas.

I’ve even catered for my son’s birthday party from them, and it was a huge hit. However, I do have a few minor complaints. I don’t like their use of plastic cutlery. I prefer to bring my own if I’m dining there. Additionally, I don’t takeout from them except for pizza, as they often put hot food in plastic containers. This contradicts their healthy approach.

On the positive side, they’ve used colorful outdoor tables inside, which our kids love. They play with popping the umbrella cover in the center, which is a bit unstable, so be careful. Once the food arrives, that’s...

We ordered:

  1. French Fries
  2. Garlic bread
  3. Paneer Tikka BBQ
  4. Impossible Seek Kebab

We also requested the cashier to have the fries and garlic bread delivered as appetizers first.

The fries arrived after the kebab and Pizza was delivered. And that too after we reminded them, so much for the meaning of appetizers.

The kebabs were supposed to be served on a bed of grilled green peppers and onions. the peppers and onions looked like they were warmed up leftovers.. Not even properly heated up. And the kebabs were barely even warmed up, leave alone freshly grilled. The cashier agreed to take the kebabs back.

The paneer on the pizza tasted like rubber. It really felt like they pulled a pre-made crust out of the fridge, threw the toppings on it, warmed it and served it. This restaurant managed to mess up the dish that's easy for even an amateur to get right: a pizza ! How bad are they going to get ?

And the garlic bread was served at the end - maybe they thought it was desert :-)

Overall. a terrible experience. Dissapointed after the outstanding food we have had at Veggie Crust in Sommerville.

If you want Indian style veggie pizza, please go to the...

I ordered a veganized Falafel pizza for pickup. Their website for online ordering is very simple to use. I was able to order in advance to pickup when I got out of work. When I arrived there was plenty of parking spaces, and upon entering I was greeted by a smiling woman behind the register. I gave her my name and she let me know that my order had just been completed. It was a very pleasant experience. I was so excited to try the pizza. When I opened the box it was beautifully topped with falafel, tomatoes onion, cilantro, spiced vegan mayo, and vegan cheese (as requested). It tasted just as delicious as it looked. The ingredients were all very fresh and I enjoyed their crust. They have many other options on their menu and I am happy to see the uniqueness of their toppings! They have classic cheese which can be veganized, as well as Indian style pizzas with flavors like Cauliflower Manchurian, Paneer Tikka Masala and others! The place was very clean , l will be...

Somehow manages to disgrace both Italian and Indian cuisine. The pizza is Impossible Kebab, gluten free crust and vegan cheese. The crust was thin and cardboard-y, with the lightest sprinkle of cheese and almost flavorless kebab served atop. For $27, this is almost a culinary crime. The creamy gluten free tomato pasta was $12, the sauce was fine but the pasta was falling apart, clearly overcooked. The vegan cheese was barely melted atop the pasta, overall just a sad experience. I liked that they provided free Marsala Chai at the counter but it's not vegan - why? This place clearly caters to vegan customers, use coconut cream instead of condensed milk. I cannot recommend this place to anyone, please eat anywhere else or cook at home if you have someone with dietary restrictions.

Have been to another location and loved it, was super excited to see there's a Veggie Crust in Lowell! Asked for no cilantro which is an option for all pizza... and there's a ton of cilantro. I hate cilantro and probably won't be able to eat this pizza, and it wasn't cheap Called and they apologized but didn't offer to do anything until I insisted. Cilantro taste like soap, and they said they knew they put it even though I said no cilantro :( Edit yes a new one was finally delivered, but they literally said they knew they did it wrong and at first said oh well sorry. I had to insist to get a new pizza. $18 for a 12" pizza, maybe don't purposefully send a wrong item.

Veggie Crust has been my go-to spot whenever I crave Indian-style pizza. I’ve visited this place multiple times, and it never disappoints. The best part? It’s completely vegetarian, which means there’s a wide range of options to choose from and includes Jain-friendly choices, which is a rare find. Their menu goes beyond just pizza. One of my favorite things is their half-and-half pizza option which is perfect for trying more than one flavor in a single order. The pizza in the picture was half Gobi Manchurian and half Paneer Tikka, and both sides were absolutely amazing. Great flavors, crispy crust, and generous toppings.
