During my visit, I encountered several concerning issues. Most notably, there were bugs present on the table where I was seated. One of the bugs crawled onto my wife’s saucer that she placed her Brussels sprouts on. She killed it with a napkin and tried brushing the incident off because we were there to celebrate her promotion to Sergeant.
We tried to make the best of it because we both really wanted the lamb chops entree and to enjoy the special occasion.
As we continued conversing and eating, another bug started crawling on the table. This time I videotaped it and called over our server. She told me her name, however, I don’t remember it. She watched it crawl around on the table and said “I’ll get the manager. “
An Asian man comes to the table with an attitude as if we did something wrong and accuses us of eating all of our food and then complaining. Which was far from the truth. I had only eaten my salad and she had her soup.
We had requested togo containers prior to seeing the 2nd unwanted visitor. At that point we didn’t want anything else from this establishment. The Asian manager who didn’t give us his name, demanded that we pay for the platters. He stated that they have a state of the art exterminating company that comes in twice a week, but sometimes these things happen as he was grabbing our togo platters.🤣 (I guess he thought we still wanted the food.)🤢
This is unacceptable behavior and raises serious concerns about the cleanliness and hygiene practices at this location. In addition to the unsanitary conditions, the service I received was far below the standards I expect from your brand.
I must admit that my server was amazing! What happened was not her fault. She was very apologetic. However, the host lacked enthusiasm and customer service skills. This was not the first time that we observed the same young man at the host stand without a name tag, with his hair un-groomed and uniform not properly maintained, actually his clothing appeared dirty.
When I called the following day to raise my concerns, the female host who answered the phone wouldn’t give her name or the male host’s name. I asked her for the manager’s name and she was hesitant after I described him, then she said that his name was Mike. I really don’t believe that she was telling the truth. Anyway, she appeared indifferent and unhelpful.
I have enjoyed dining at other Longhorns locations in the past, which makes this experience especially disappointing.
I am bringing this matter to your attention with the hope that it will be addressed promptly and appropriately.
I would appreciate it if you could look into this incident and ensure that the necessary actions are taken.
Cleanliness and quality service are fundamental expectations for any restaurant, and I trust that you share...
Read moreMy Daughters & decided to dine here for our weekly dine w/daughters date. We were not satisfied with our food or service. We placed an order for 2 steak dinners w/baked sweet potatoes and 1 entree w/parmesan crusted cheese chicken and a sweet potato along with appetizers. The appetizers were piping hot and tasty. After we received our appetizers our server brought the entrees to the table maybe 30 minutes later. Our entrees were lukewarm . Our steaks were burned & one was undercooked. The sweet potatoes were burned & had an abundance of cinnamon thrown on top. I despise returning food back to the kitchen however our meals were not edible. In fact I could not have eaten my food which was the burned steak & sweet potato loaded with cinnamon. I asked the server if I could not only return my entree but select another one. My daughters opted to have their entrees heated. I asked for the Parmesan crusted chicken with a baked potato. The server returned 20 minutes later with my daughters’ entree. Neither one wanted their meals at this point and asked for to go containers. Once my meal was brought to the table my food was not only warm but the baked potato was rotten (black on the inside ) Disappointed we asked the server for our check and discussed with her that our food was mediocre, not what we’d expected and we no longer wanted to order anything else. The server, annoyed brought us the check which we noticed both of my entrees were on the bill. She stated she had a talk with the manager who forgot to remove my initial entree. Nonetheless we paid our bill. Despite poor customer service and the lackluster quality of food we still proceeded to tip our server until I heard her complaining about me and my daughters. The nerve of her! we normally tip 18 - 20 percent. She received $10 which was still too much considering her service was below mid. If ever we decide to dine at this location again I will not patronize this establishment unless Cam...
Read moreThis was like visiting a different planet where certain customers are invisible to the staff. Neither my friend nor I had ever been here--and afterwards, we wished that were still the case!
We entered a large room where there is a bar, bar-style (i.e., tall) tables and chairs, and a cash register at the end of the bar with a small sign above it that reads TAKE-OUT AREA. Although it was still early, the bar stools were all occupied, but we were having an early dinner so sat at a table.
We waited and waited, but no server approached. After 15 minutes, I finally walked over to the young cashier and ordered drinks. When they came, there was no bill. I took the drinks to our table.
Still, no server came over to us. The young bartender was the only person working the bar. Finally, we looked at the menu; the prices were a bit high but the choices were interesting. We decided what we wanted and waited. No server materialized. Finally, we walked over and gave our order to the cashier. No one asked if we'd like another drink. Another long wait ensued.
Finally, my companion walked over to the cashier to ask about our food. In fact, it was already there, in a paper bag with plastic utensils, take-out style with a bill for the food! Of course we unpacked our dinner and ate it there!
When we went to pay for our dinner--and drinks which I felt should have been comped, considering that we were ignored--the cashier said nothing to us. The bartender, who we paid separately for our beverages, did mumble something, however. I had to ask him to repeat it. "I don't have any ones," he said. "Are dimes okay?" Of course we just wanted to escape that weird, inexplicable "restaurant" so he handed me 30 dimes in change!
This joint desperately needs a manager! If a professional adult had just come over and told us that we were in a take-out only area, our experience and this report could have been entirely different. Well, except for all those...
