UUPDATE (December 2024): I rarely go to this local theater and will often drive a little to the nicer theaters. Specially since the tickets are the same price for a lesser screen. Last night I went with a friend to see a movie we had both already seen anyway. The screen was high up to compensate for the non-statium seating. Even worse, the movie was not taking the full screen and had a black frame around it. The seats were worse than last time with peeling material.
More so, I was upset by some of the issues that might be more Regal than this specific location. I used discount tickets purchased from Costco. I was annoyed to find out after I redeemed the vouchers that Tuesdays are discounted tickets. If they had it better displayed/advertised I would have bought the tickets and saved the vouchers. I also saw them tell a nice group of older ladies that they couldn't get the discounted tickets because they need to sign up for the rewards program online and can't do it at the theater.
UPDATE (August 2023): I went to Regal on Main Street for the first time in ages because today was $4 tickets and I decided for that price, I'd go local. The people working here are very friendly and the location in convenient but I still don't think this theater is worth the normal ticket price. The reclining seats have their pleather peeling and the screens are small to compensate for the non-stadium seating.
Additionally the theater I was in (theater 5) doesn't have aisles on both sides. I had selected an end seat thinking I'd have an aisle if I needed to get up mid-movie but I ended up next to a wall and felt awful when I had to walk in front of the other people to exit the row.
UPDATE (Date Unknown): I recently went back to this theater for the first time since the re-model. Even without stadium seating everyone can see the screen the way the seats are spaced. The seats are much more comfortable than the older seats but I still feel that for the price, I'd rather go to one of the bigger theaters.
ORIGINAL (Date Unknown): When new movie theaters are popping up with reclining and stadium seating, this theater still feels like something out of the 90s. It's clean, but old.
The problem is that the theater isn't as updated as the newer theaters but still charges the same prices for movies.
If I just want to see a matinee close to home it's a great theater. It's clean, local, and the staff is nice. However, If I'm going out at night and paying full price, I'll drive a little farther and sit in a more...
Read moreMy son and I came to this theatre in January and I was a bit skeptical because the reviews suggested it was a dirty place. However we still decided to go and our first impression was that it didn’t appear to be a filthy theatre.
As we settled in to our seats we first realized that it was freezing cold in our theatre. I was shivering and went to ask about the heat in the room with no resolve. So as we continued to shiver through the movie out the side of eye I saw something move past very quickly and my first thought was “was that mouse” but I’m thinking that’s not likely. Then my son says “did you see that” and we both realized we just saw a mouse. We were sitting in the very back row where there was a big gap between our row and the row in front. So through our movie we continued to see mice or one mouse (not sure) run back and forth. disgusting ….
So I went and asked to speak to a manager. When he came out he looked unpleasantly agitated as if I was bothering him and I explained about the heat and the mice and he basically said he knew there were mice and that that particular theatre doesn’t have heat and didn’t resolve or even, at the very least, make me feel better about anything!
This my worst movie theatre experience ever and I would never think of going to this...
Read moreI haven't been to my Regal Main Street Theatre 6 in years....The last movie was late night Star Wars - The Last Jedi..lol..seriously!!!
I took my chance on coming to see thee Black Panther: Wakanda Forever at the theatre before it leaves because we normally go out Flourtown to the Movie Tavern, but they are now opening later for showings. I was absolutely impressed by Allen, young manager who welcomed my family and I first in line t promptly at 11am..I have a daughter that is a spastic quadriplegic transferable, but wheelchair bound and her Care Nurse who attended with us. I watched Allen and team Jay and Malachi "yep I asked for their names" tag team within the workplace to insure that the concession, back food prep, ticket taking and more was covered to service all guests. We were accommodated and they interacted with care, kindness to each other and "NO" attitude.....It was so good to see our youth work with each other without older management supervision completely touched my heart. I teared up!!!! They are true assets to the business, hopefuI theater owners, if the chose to be with grooming and coaching mentorship I think they can be... I plan to return to enjoy the movies in my "HOOD" again...Job well done! Mama Kim M. shares...
