Visit 12-10-22. I was excited to learn that a new CFA (BOB) was coming to the city. I bypassed a CFA to patronize this one, and that was the wrong choice. I arrived, and the pickup line for take-out was longer than the line to order—red flag #1. More staff were standing behind the counter doing nothing like they were lost—red flag #2. The food was piling up in the storage compartment like McDonald’s. McDonald's food isn’t fresh, no day. It was like they were stacking cooked food to eliminate the wait. I have never seen such a thing at CFA. Red flag #3. Let's get to the wait time. I waited over 20 minutes for a #1 combo—red flag #4. Lastly, the food was horrible. The fries were hard and overcooked, like a Herr’s potato chip. My chicken sandwich was soggy from the pickles and sitting in the bag too long. The bun lacked butter. The best part of the sandwich for me. I asked for a sprite and water. They gave me water. How did they mess that up? The best thing in my order was the cheese sauce, which was melted perfectly. Red flag #5. I know it's a new business, and it takes time, but this isn’t it. I'm going to wait about six months to patronize them again. Hopefully, this is enough time to shape up. If not, money will be spent at other CFA locations, like South Philly or Baltimore Pike, where they are always on point. Response from company on SM , 12-19-22. Photo attached. Jared missed the mark. Jared was so focused on the cheese sauce and communication. He missed the most important part food quality and service. If your food and service sucks, you lose customers.

For the locals it seems to be the norm but for out of towners… not so. Finding this place from the gps was a bit confusing. It is in the Target shopping center but you can’t physically see it and there is no sign on the shopping center display. Turning into the shopping center you come to a stop sign to go left or right. To the right is Target but the shopping center only shows Chipotle, a CBD store. I’m at a loss here. The stop sign doesn’t show a direction as to where to go. I took a risk and decided to turn left from the stop sign and low and behold…there is a small strip of little store behind Target and on the same level as the Parking garage deck!!! It’s absolutely ridiculous. Traffic thru this dinky little backend spot is a horrible location especially for this prime area. Tried to order online prior to this fiasco but Chick Fil A website stated there was no online ordering for some reason. Got there and waited inside to order for 30mins. Meanwhile we see tons of people picking up a mobile order. Unbelievable!!! There’s a side road that comes up along Chipotle is a one way street that you can only enter but apparently some people disregard that and uses it as an exiting as well onto Ed Bradley Way. location…horrible. Parking lot- ample but also horrible. Safeness due to terrible traffic and poor lighting- horrible. Food is always good. To get it is a game of chance. Cleanliness is good. Prices are standard. Overall we don’t recommend this location at all unfortunately. Chick Fil A needs to reevaluate and consider a different location.

Chick-fil-A on City Avenue offers a welcoming atmosphere and a selection of well-liked menu items, including their signature chicken sandwich and crispy waffle fries. The quality of the meals is typically satisfactory, with an emphasis on freshness. The staff members are recognized for their cordial demeanor and willingness to assist, which contributes positively to the customer experience, especially during busy times. The establishment is noted for its neatness and prompt service, though there is room for improvement in the uniformity of meal preparation. The business hours are accommodating for most patrons, and the availability of catering services is convenient for hosting events. A few refinements in service could potentially elevate this Chick-fil-A’s performance in terms of customer contentment.

This is a non-standard Chick-fil-A location. It is located in a side building next to an underground parking garage so you have to park and get out.

The food is fine. No complaints. It is at the same high quality that you can expect from any Chick-fil-A

The serious low marks however, come from the layout of the store and from the speed of service

If you go in during a busy time, expect there to be at least 15 minutes between ordering and getting your food with how long it takes to order being a grab bag

What you will see when you walk in. There is the 5 to 10 people from DoorDash, GrubHub or someplace else standing in a rough blob right of the cash registers. You will also see another blob standing right behind the cash registers. Waiting to pick up their orders and you may see one person eating in the dine-in.

The store has serious issues with layout when it comes to all of these people waiting for food because you have no idea who's waiting for an order who's in line because the double line system they have working assumes it's going to take a long time to place orders but that's kind of quick. What takes forever is getting your food so you get these massive blobs of people standing just in front of the cash registers. We're not ordering they're just waiting for food.

And the only other option is to join the blob or stand so far away from the registers. You can't hear them call out names because they only use names not numbers. There is also no way to know how long it's going to be for your food and the two times I went to order there they have given me little discount cards to apologize for the wait. When I walked in there today there were two people in line 10 people over in the online order area and it took me 9 minutes between placing my order and getting my food which we're just some chicken minis

It might be worth your time alone to just order from this place online and don't bother...

This is one of the most disappointing Chick-fil-A stores I've ever visited. I've been here in Philly for the last 22 days now and have visited this store every day mon-sat (My mother loves the ice and the ice cream cones) my first visit to the store was July 3 at 7:00 a.m. there was one customer that had already placed his order. I ordered a çup of ice and a butter biscuit with strawberry jam. The ladythat took my order was the manager on duty...(I didn't get her name because she didn't have a name tag). She was conversing with the other employee about the new hire she wasn't concerned about anything else.

After eating for 10-12 mins on such a basic order I asked for a refund. She never asked why or was concerned about why I cancelled the order. With visiting this store several times during my stay I was hoping service would have gotten better but it didn't.

This is a walk in store no drive thru available, many times I've come in the store floors aren't mopped, (there is only one "Welcome In Greeting a long with a beautiful smile is from a young man named Joshua, the others cashier's say nothing, the employee's do not say (My Pleasure) when giving customers their food other than Joshua. Proper customer training needs to be reimplemented at this store in order for this store to be a success.

Also the presentation of desserts needs help, when purchasing and ice cream cone that cost almost $2.00 you want to at least have enough ice cream on the cone for an adult. If you're buying a kids meal it's expected for the portion size to be a little smaller but not for a regular ice cream cone for an adult. A regular and kids cone should not have the same amount of ice cream.

Please work on these issues at hand, I wish this store much success moving forward.

It pains me to make this post, I only eat Chicken and Turkey so Chick-fil-A has always been one of my favorite places to eat! I have the app and I frequent different locations all the time, mostly the City Ave location. It pains me to say that I will no longer be able to eat Chick-fil-A anymore! Mostly because of this recent decision to change their chicken. I try to be somewhat conscious about the type of food I consume but With this new change and the fact that lately my food has not been of good quality like it used to be. The staff has always been amazing but the food has recently been absolutely horrible. I purchased a Cobb salad about 2 weeks ago and when I got home there was no chicken in the salad! I tried calling the restaurant but NO ONE answers! Today I stopped in for breakfast, like always I did a mobile take out order and after waiting in the store for 10 mins, I get to my destination (5mins away from restaurant) my chicken biscuit was not fresh, the piece of chicken on the biscuit was cold and hard and the biscuit was at least a day old! I was so upset I threw it away! While I was there I saw an employee take a fresh pan of biscuits out of the oven and place them next to her Station, I’m not sure what happened but I didn’t get one of those fresh biscuits. Also I must add that there was no line, there was 5 people picking up DoorDash orders before me and they had left while I stood there waiting… not sure why I didn’t receive a FRESH sandwich but I think I will be completely done with Chick-fil-A after today! I will gift my points to my son in Texas. Chick-fil-A please do better but for now you have lost me...
