If I could give a zero, I would. I visited here on St. Patrick's day. I was discriminated against by a server because I am white, my girlfriend is from Trinidad, he ignored me, served other tables who sat 10-15 minutes after us. They were African American, one family Muslim. We waited 15 minutes for him to take our drink order. It took ten minutes to get my drink, the other two tables had their drinks and food already. It took another 10 minutes for my girlfriend to get her drink. There was only 3 other tables seated around us, out of 25 tables, so it was not busy. After 45 minutes I asked the server about our food and the other tables were served already, he got mad, attitude, blamed the kitchen. I said the other tables are African American, is that why they were served already, is it because I am white, he nodded yes, I asked for a manager. All of a sudden he had our food in 2 minutes, it was horrible, my girlfriend didn't eat her meal, she gave it to a homeless man on the way home. She still gave him a $10 tip. No manager came over. It was embarassing. I was contacted by Jeff the store manager after about a week, explained it to him. He stated I was a victim of reverse discrimination, he apologized. He made that statement, not me. Friday's so called third party adjuster claims to have investigated, but really didn't. They didn't interview my girlfriend or ask if I had any other evidence. I have a recording of the manager admitting I was a victim. Friday's is sweeping this under the carpet. The city Ave store has a bad reputation already judging by the reviews. Avoid here at all costs. Food is horrible, service is worse, they offered me a $50 gift certificate. Like I would ever got to...
Read moreUsually whenever myself and a few friends go here, they always find a reason to turn us away, but this time we were sat immediately. First issue we had was the fact that the music in there was blasting so loud, we could barely have a conversation. Second was that it took our server an half hour to come to our table. She was okay at first, took down our drinks, apps, and entrees, but we didn’t see her for another half hour. By the time she came over, she had our drinks but no appetizers then disappeared for another half hour. Our appetizers were brought over to us by another server and we still waited an half hour for our entrees. Mind you, it wasn’t even busy at the time we came in.
We got there at 9 and didn’t get our full meal until 11:17. We didn’t even eat because of how annoying this experience was.
This wouldn’t had been as big of a problem if there was some sort of communication, but there was none. It seemed like all the attention was towards the people at the bar and nobody working there paid enough attention to the everyone else. It felt like we’re at the club instead of a restaurant.
When we brought this to the managers attention, she didn’t even seem to care, but comped us for our meal, and we even after talking with her, we waited an additional half hour for our bill. By the time we actually walked out, a security guard flagged us down about paying the bill, and when we asked what took so long, he said the manager was removing items from our bill. It took her 30 minutes to do that?! That’ll be the last...
Read moreI haven't been to Fridays in about 10 years. I happened to go there for an early dinner and was extremely pleased with my meal! Everything was fresh, cooked properly, seasoned well with a minimum wait time of about 12-15 minutes. The loaded mashed potatoes are extremely awesome! My ribs were ever so tender baby backs, but I wish you guys would get some larger pork spare ribs. The chicken breast was tender but rather small and thin, however it tasted great. The shrimp were very well seasoned and had a tempura-like batter that tasted excellent, although they could have been bigger! The baked four cheese mac n cheese was very delicious, not drippy or runny like other food chains. One of the best things about my visit was the server Siani, a very pleasant young African American lady that treated us like family. She was very attentive, easy to talk to, patient and genuinely cared about us as customers and providing great service, which she did! I was so happy with my meal and service that I asked to speak to the manager, Mr Tim. Siani is a an asset to this company, so involve her in training new hires on how to treat people like they are the most important part of the business, because we are. I look forward to a return visit much sooner than 10 more years! The only con of my visit was the selection of rap music that was loudly playing during my entire visit of 1.5 hours. Personally as a senior citizen I would prefer not to hear that while I am eating my meal,...
