Today was nice and brisk after 12:00 PM. I went for a trek around the Wynnewood area to a bagel shop that makes Montreal-style bagels in a charcoal oven; Spread Bagelry. They were somewhat harder in texture and delicious. I had an egg everything bagel with lox schmear. Along the way, I took some pictures of beautifully landscaped homes. I walked 0.56 miles without stopping, a new record, then another 0.2 miles stretching my legs, and finally 0.34 miles to reach over a mile. Later, Rachel called to meet for lunch at Whole Foods, where she tried their plant-based burgers and I had sushi. After returning, I had walked 1.56 miles with great O2 levels at 98% and a heart rate of 87 BPM, and 6,405 steps. Now, I'm tired and ready for an afternoon nap. Check in with you all later. Quiet bagel place with a wide variety of bagel and cream cheese flavors. My sister and I came here for a quick breakfast on Saturday morning and the place was relatively empty. My sister enjoyed her onion bagel with scallion cream cheese. My rosemary and olive oil bagel was rock hard and when I made the complaint after taking one bite, the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. She immediately switched out my bagel with a plain one that was fresh out of the oven. The bagels are quite small in size and pricing was steep for what you get ($5.75 each for a bagel and scallion cream cheese) but the food tasted fine once I got mine replaced. All in all, I would not frequent this restaurant, but I would stop by on occasion whenever I felt like a quick bagel.

Bagel itself was good, but prices are steep and I’m not sure if the value is worth it. $5.75 for a bagel with scallion cream cheese ($1.25 more compared to regular cream cheese). I was disappointed to see the schmear only on one side given the steep premium on cream cheese generally (+ extra for the scallions). One slice of tomato was an additional $.75. I don’t mind paying these prices if I feel the value for what you get is shown in the amount of product, but with this Spread experience I did not feel like the value met the price. Bagel itself was very good (though didn’t seem toasted like I asked for). I may be back to see if these value issues work themselves out as they get more settled since this location is very new.

We live nearby and have been visiting regularly since the Wynnewood location opened (and we frequented the Wayne and Bryn Mawr Spread locations before this location was available). The Wynnewood location started off great after opening but has gone downhill in terms of service over the past 6-9 months. We love the Spread Bagelry chain and usually find the service friendly and their menu great, so we are loyal customers. However, today's service at the Wynnewood location made me stop and provide this feedback as it was so poor. We could see that our food was ready and merely waiting on the counter to be placed in a carry-out bag. While the woman at the register (newer hire and much more friendly than the other lady who was running the register previously) was busy taking orders, the other staff there were leisurely chatting nearby. After 5 minutes, we finally approached the staff and kindly asked for our order that was sitting on the counter getting cold. Frustrating and disappointing. We had overlooked the rudeness of the lady running the register in the recent months (noted that she was now covering coffee service while a new more customer friendly lady worked the register), but this morning was beyond the pale. Please find employees that are motivated and interested your Spread customer's experience. In the meantime, we will go back to...

This bagel store is actually very good, and I would give it a high rating, but ONLY on the weekends. Sadly, during the week, it is a mess. About a month ago, I did a mobile order and when I picked it up, they handed me a bag. It was only halfway to work did I realize they handed me the wrong order! I think "how hard is it to get a name right?"

Next, the girl at the counter is putting on some hair spray or something, and cross contaminating the products. I ordered loose bagels, and a canned drink. I am handed a bag, which smells heavily like hair spray, so does the drink, AND (I kid you not) so do the bagels! I then say "thanks" and have a good day", only to be met with cold silence. Who hired this person? Does management just hire the most miserable people on earth?

In contrast, the weekend crew are much better, with actual customer service skills. I really recommend changing the hiring process to those individuals who reflect well on your business, not those who just want a paycheck, to merely coast through the day, hating the job, resenting the public, while doing the absolute minimum required. ...
