I wasn’t going to leave a review after a terrible meal here but these jokers compelled me to.
The service was ok and decor was alright but the food was terrible and how the restaurant handled the situation was petty and childish.
Waiter asked how the Caprese was and I said it was just ok and needed more Balsamic and that the tomatoes were mushy and that there were only a few little snips of not so fresh basil and he smirked.
Food came out and my chicken parm was awful.Chicken was rubbery, sauce was weird, breading tasted off,and the cheese looked and tasted like 2 slices of Kraft American.
I spoke with the manager and sent the food back and didn’t want a replacement. My dish was taken off the bill and I thought that was the end of a bad dining experience.
15 minutes later I arrive home and get an email saying that Villa Artigiano has cancelled my reservation on Open Table. That’s weird since I made my reservation and had the misfortune of eating their terrible attempt at Italian and have receipts.
In an effort to cover their behinds because they messed up they decided to make it look like I never ate their and couldn’t leave a review on Open Table.
Do better and don’t try to be slick when it comes time to face the music of...
Read moreI rarely ever comment on a restaurant. I am a foodie. I have been to this restaurant before. TONIGHT was suppose to be a birthday outing. The service in the PAST was excellent!!! Tonight they don't even DESERVE one star. I was always told when someone says thank you...you respond you are welcome. The person who seated us when we arrived barely opened her mouth to say you are welcome when we said thank you for seating us and handing us our menus. I will never go back or recommend this place again!!! There APPEARED to be one waitress serving way too many customers. We walked out!!! The bread was never delivered to the table. The waitress was busy holding long conversations with customers. She followed us to the door to ask us what was the problem when we walked out . I kindly told her you had us waiting forever to place our order. That is NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!! I wish I would spend my money for unsatisfactory service. Needless to say we dined at Pepperoncini in Havertown. The service as always was...
Read moreWe were really excited to try this neighborhood spot and encouraged by all the positive reviews. It was shocking how bland and flavorless all of our food was... literally the only thing we enjoyed were the caesar salad and the pear and gorgonzola salad. Ingredients seemed so cheap (the tiny baby shrimp on the artichoke app, the "slice" of weird cheese on chicken parm, ZERO saffron in the saffron risotto). The arancini app was super soggy (but flavor okay), the chicken parm looked like something you'd find in a cafeteria. The langastino were "okay" but quantity certainly not worth $50 (the sides were hilarious - ZERO flavor / zero seasoned squash mash with some shiny snow peas tossed on there -- huh??!). Even the bread lacked seasoning. Our server was nice and attentive, but there are too many other places to try and revisit that are much better quality for the...
