I took my family to Miso for a sushi night a few weeks ago, where we’ve been going since they opened. The service and food were great. During the pandemic, they started adding an extra service charge on top of the tips I left, which I was fine with since, under the circumstances, they needed to make money to pay their employees. The extra service charge continued into 2023, and I was still okay with it. However, the last time I dined there might be the last time I ever go. The service was horrible. We ordered sushi, sashimi, fried rice, and other dishes. When the waiter brought out the fried rice, he just placed it on the table, but we had no plates or spoons to properly enjoy it. When I asked for them, he looked at me confused—like I was supposed to eat fried rice with my chopsticks. Needless to say, he eventually brought us plates and spoons. The whole night, our empty soup and salad bowls remained on our table. We had to move them to the side just to make room for other dishes. Nobody checked on us to see if we needed more water or if we wanted to order anything else. I was a waitress before, so I understand that sometimes you miss things when you’re busy serving other customers—but the restaurant was empty. There was only one other table besides ours. Our bill was $130, and despite the poor service, we still left a $30 tip. But that was probably the last time...
Read moreTERRIBLE…. My honest review. It was a rainy Tuesday afternoon, decided to go here with my husband. I based it off the reviews, DO NOT trust the reviews. This place had a horrible smell, smelt like burnt cat or carpet or something. This made me nauseas. We ordered 3 rolls, the TNT roll, the Miso roll, and the Shrimp Tempura roll. We also got an appetizer, the Maryland Spring roll. The spring roll was good, nice and hot. But the other 3 rolls were disgusting. Seaweed was old, and chewy. Burnt my mouth, and horrible fishy taste. We actually felt sick leaving the place, I’m glad we only got 3 rolls. We threw away most of it. Worst $52 I’ve ever spent. I repeat, don’t believe the reviews, please go to another place 🙏🏼 I eat sushi everywhere I go, worst place by far… OH and I thought I should mention, the restaurant is a house. Definitely false...
Read moreWorst sushi I have ever eaten, I got the sapporo roll and the volcano special roll. The sapporo roll was the worst offender, cost $9 for what was essentially only cucumber, a single strip of what looked like beef (it's supposed to be tuna and shrimp) and no shrimp at all nor any sauce. It was cut so thin it fell apart and I ended up not eating half of it because even when i could it tasted so bad I felt like i was going to be ill. The other one was slightly better but had almost no flavor, couldnt even taste the sauce that was on it.
My brother got the green mussels and after eating one neither of us were interested in continuing to eat them. The sauce was terrible but remove it and it had no flavor at all. How this is so highly rated when there are so many better sushi places in Harrisburg is beyond me. Save your money and go...
