Went there on a Saturday night just recently. We were a party of four that arrived at 7:30. There were only four tables occupied when we got there. Two waitresses were working. Ours, whose name I won’t reveal, had worked there 15 years I had gathered from a conversation I had overheard. We sat ourselves. We were given menus by our waitress and then nothing happened for about 15 minutes, not even a visit to our table to take our drink order. To be fair, when we did see her, our waitress was polite. When we saw her. After 15 minutes, she asked if we were ready to order and this turned out to be both food and drinks. We got our drinks relatively quickly and then waited. And waited. Not even a check in to see if we needed refills. Our food finally came, which was fine. Then our waitress was really nowhere to be seen. We all had empty drinks, so I finally had to ask the other waitress if she could find ours. Our waitress came around the corner and politely refilled our drinks. We finished our dinner and then waited. And waited. There was never a return trip to our table. I had to go to the counter and ask if our waitress was still working because it had been pushing 25 minutes at this point and we not seen her. We were brought the check by somebody totally different. At the counter, where you pay, I asked the other waitress if ours was ever planning on coming back to check on us and she said, “oh she’s in the back doing side work.” My takeaway from that was that whatever was occurring in the back was prioritized over us. On the bill, I wrote “Food=Great, Service=Poor” and tipped her accordingly. Laura’s has excellent food, but the customer experience was absolutely lacking and that does affect people’s opinions after awhile. You want to come out of a place feeling good after a nice meal, not stressed and unrelaxed and that’s how I felt when I left. Laura’s, you’re better than this. You’re definitely deserving of a second chance, but not a third. Please take this review as constructive so other people don’t have a...
Read moreLaura's was recommended to me by an area resident. This is a very casual dining experience with pizza/sandwich shop options and restaurant options. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall. Honestly I didn't even know it was there until someone pointed it out to me. Service was good. The server was attentive and courteous. Food was good. I wanted a meal so ordered an entree which was served with a salad. I noticed mozzarella sticks on the menu. Love this things. I ordered a small thinking this would work as a sort of appetizer. Quantity of sticks was decent. I ended up taking a few home with me as a snack. My entree was Florentino which is a cream sauce with spinach, mozzarella and sun dried tomato server over your choice of chicken or veal. I chose chicken. Pasta was included with the entree. I choose angel hair pasta and asked for the chicken to be served over the pasta. I intended to mix it anyway so may as well have the cook do it for me. I liked the meal. Quantity was good. Three chicken cutlet with sauce served over the pasta. I also took a bit of this home for later. My only complaint would be the amount of sauce and cheese layered on top of the dish. Although the sauce was good, there was just too much of it on my plate. A bit less sauce and cheese would have been good.
There were a fair amount of folks picking up pizza orders during my visit. Guessing the pizza will be good. Will be back again to try the...
Read moreWent for the first time at this location for our daughters birthday. Food was good with good portion sizes. Our service was bad. The lady waiting on our table was nice. Clearly did not care about what we said. We ordered the kids food , appetizers and everyone's drink immediately and asked that the kids get the food when it was ready as they where hungry. She did not bring everyone drinks. We had to ask for the rest and show there wasn't enough. The 1 year got his chicken meal which was put in front of him steaming hot. We ask about the other 2 kids and wad assured they would be out soon. When ordering the appetizers we confirmed exactly what we want and recieved the wrong thing. They fixed it. We asked agian about the other 2 kids meals ,and agian was told they would be out soon. When our daughter(adult) got her pasta, we asked about the 2 kids dinner and she said we didn't order any. Then the order finally got placed. The sandwich I ordered she couldn't find so she didn't place that order. I had to show where it was on the menu and confirm the size. She still ordered the wrong item. Told me I didn't order it right. When it can out I said it was the wrong side. She said no, that is the small. We had to ask for the bread and salad that came with the pasta meal. Never got refill on our drinks. I will not be returning to this location. I will go to...
