I would always rate this location with 5 stars. However my latest experience was not good at all. I don’t know if there were trainees working that day but the hoagies were not up to their normal standards. The meat was cut thick and it seemed as if it was just thrown on the roll. So very disappointed. Was this just a day with inexperienced people or will this be your normal now?

At these price points, Primo is dangerously lacking in quality. You do not get what you pay for. Received a $14 Bada Boom with burned chicken cutlet and barely there provolone. To boot, the macaroni salad was packed 6 days ago with a sell by date that spans 15 days post packaging. Fresh ingredients, as Primo advertises? Certainly not.

I'm not sure where to begin because this is a long story but I will do my best to make it as short as possible.

On June 15th, I ordered 2 hoagies. For purposes of the length of this post, I'll just talk about 1 of the incorrect hoagies. Just a few examples. *Half the hoagie was supposed to have cheese. the entire hoagie had cheese. And it was mostly cheese and barely any turkey. there was barely any lettuce on it but there were tomatoes and onions. I asked for sweet peppers and hot peppers ON THE SIDE. there were hot peppers ON the hoagie and no sweet peppers or hot peppers were provided on the side as requested.

On the evening of June 15th, I called and talked to someone who claimed to be the manager. They, of course, appologized and assured me someone would get back to me the following day. That never happened. I was then on vacation for 2 weeks.

When I returned, I emailed them. The person who emailed me back (Smruti Patel), had a rubuttal for each and every complain I stated.

One of them included: "Also it does not mention any lettuce, tomatoes or onions so we did not put any of them on it"

First of all, there WAS tomato and onion on my hoagie. And if what he/she is saying is really true, every hoagie they make does not include lettuce, tomatoes and onion unless specifically requested. ---Not so believeable.

Furthermore, he/she claimed to have called me back the following day (6/16). He/she claimed it went right to voicemail. I'm not denying that may have happened. But I would think that a person trying to get in touch/make things right would leave a voicemail. Additionally, I had no missed calls on my phone. Something just doesn't seem to add up...

I've had problems with this certain location before but it's been several months so I thought I'd give it a try again. My mistake.

Mr/Ms. Patel offered me a buy one primo, get 50% off 2nd one because of this situation. That is not something I am interested in because clearly there is a lack of quality control at this store. I would expect a refund.

Edit: the owner did finally refund my money for the 2 hoagies. I...

Try a different location if you like primos.....looks like ownership has changed recently. Very hard to communicate over the phone with there language barrier. Also looks like management tells the workers to go easy on the produce, condiments, toppings and dressings. I couldnt even tell there was any mayo vinegar oil seasoning lettece tomato onions on my sandwich. My other sandwich ordered was a schwartzie with almost no dressing and only about half a spoonful worth of Cole slaw. I get the cost of things are getting out of hand these days. But let me remind you this corporation has highered prices many times the past 2 years. Shouldn't be going "easy" on anything I order for my sandwich....espically when I paid 16$ per hoagie here and felt like I was cheated. For a $16 dollar hoagie I wanna feel like I can't even finish the sandwich it's so packed. Not anymore those days were years ago with primos. I am beginning to think a 5$ wawa hoagie isn't so gross anymore after primos prices and there new quality standards. Wawa is gaining on primos over the past couple years. Yeah there not very good but there edible and cheap. Primos is very good but the quality and quantity is less and less every few months. My personal favorite in the neighborhood is Jersey mikes and village pantry. Give them a try you won't be...

The worst Primos in the entire Philadelphia area. Since they opened the store they have been skimping on meat. Sometimes not even using Thurmans meats. Just grabbed two Sammies for me and the wife. She got a turkey Shwartzy and it had 0 Cole slaw on n it. They literally swiped the sandwich with whatever was left at the bottom of the cole slaw container lol the sandwich had 0 cole slaw on it. This owner had been consistently horrible for at least 10 yrs. The franchise needs to shut them down. It is a disgrace and btw 2 Sammies cost almost $35. Absolute disgrace. Do not spent your money at this store. I live in the neighborhood and have been disappointed by this store for to long pull their license and...
