Buns Over Texas — Restaurant in Lubbock

Stopped in for a snack, so we only got cheese fries and cheese sticks. Kid got a hot dog from the children's menu. The fries are the battered kind and were decent on their own. The cheese didn't add anything at all. It wasn't a cheese sauce, just mild shredded cheese melted on top. No seasonings. It came with ranch, which seemed the house made kind and was very good. Not good enough to carry the whole dish, unfortunately. Definitely NOT the best cheese fries like other reviews mentioned. The cheese sticks were a step better than the fries and were a good size. The batter was fine, lightly seasoned. Overall though, disappointed with both. The hotdog came on a well buttered and grilled bun, however, was only half a hotdog, which we found funny. The frank itself was grilled and looked nice. I didn't eat any of this so I'm only commenting on looks. The drinks...SKIP the tea. Maybe being out of town, I could taste that it was made with local tap water. Get the strawberry lemonade instead. If it's made with the same water it masks it better. Or a soft drink. BEST PLACE IVE ATE IN YEARS what set me over was the staff me and my wife ate here a couple of days ago and I didn't forget the kindness, very kind, and good attitude theses girls had they asked me and my wife several time if we needed anything or if everything was okay with our food the price was awesome for the amount you get served now to forget that we came in at almost closing time and after ordering I asked what time they shut down one of the staff replied in 20 minutes my mouth dropped I apologized and said we could get it to go and they said no yall are okay to eat here we still have stuff to do I worked in the restaurant industry before and hated when people did this but couldn't say anything and they were really appreciated that we came in and made us feel comfortable I help stack chairs to help with closing so I didnt feel to bad and they still gave there gratitude KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK LADIES and thank you for making me and my wife feel comfortable they have earned a life long customer here nothing bad...

Man there is nothing worse than requesting a well done burger and ending up with raw in the middle. Place wasn't even busy and actually stated well at the register twice. I did not ask for a redo honestly the bushy headed cook that probably needed a hair net looked liked he could care less to be there. It was one of those times you pinch and eat what you can and move on. I did take the raw burger to the girl cooking the fries and showed her so maybe it wouldn't happen to the next. 30 bucks on two burger meals and a cheese stick isn't cheap. She asked me if i wanted it redone I said no. She told I guess was the manager who could have met me at the door and offered to refund my burger but didn't care to I guess. Meh I'm not one to cause a scene or complain in front of other guests. But I am one to not take my business back unfortunately and this use to he the burger it spot. Maybe they changed...
