Shotzys Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Lubbock

I have seen a few reviews about the staff and I'm not surprised. If you happen to forget your phone in this bar, and you go back right after they close, don't expect to get it back. Not only did a couple of the bartenders call me and my sister the B word when we were patiently waiting to be served while they continued to see us and served people that kept coming in after us last time we were here a few months ago but last week I forgot my phone and went shortly after they closed the doors and were cleaning. I'm a young woman, not intimidating at all so when I went to knock on the door I thought they would talk to me through the door and see what I wanted. I thought they would be decent human beings and just hand me my phone on their way out. Especially because I heard them talking about how they had it in there but weren't gonna give it to me and laughing about it. Although they swore they have so many phones and didn't know which one it was, it was the only one that kept ringing and they kept declining calls and I could hear it and see it inside when I called. It was right next to them. They decided to call the cops. They showed up and the employees walked out and shut the door behind them saying "sorry we don't know which phone it is and we can't get back in now" The officers said it was petty of them to do what they did and just to try to go back the next day. Cool bar but terrible night...

We went there for the first time. I had the Philly steak with tots, and my wife had the Ruben with onion rings. My wife really liked the ruben and the philly steak was good as well. The onion rings are made with red onions, and the breading is made everyday there. The onion rings are made to order. The breading is really good. The onions them selves have more of a mild flavor. That's not a bad thing. It's just if you want more of a onion taste to your onion rings you might want to get something else. Again we did like them. The waitress/bartender was very nice and friendly, and came to to see if we needed anything. She was the only one working the front it seemed. The beer comes in small and large. The large is a 32oz glass (from the tap at least). They also do karaoke, but not when we were there. Over all I give it a 8.5 out of 10 , and will be going...

5 star all around!! Atmosphere is always great, i like going on the slower days but you never know what your going to walk into . Either way the service doesn’t change, the staff is always on point. They are very aware of their customers and are quick to serve them as fast as possible, never seen any one of them distracted by their cell phone. The guys in the kitchen put out some of the best food in town, hats off to them. Never had anything wrong with my order, always comes with napkins, silverware extra plates if needed without having to ask. Kailey is a favorite, 5 seconds into walking in she always welcomes you with a hello and remembers exactly what you drink and has it ready for you.
