I went there with my 23-year-old daughter this past weekend, and while the place was beautifully decorated and the small plates of food were tasty, it was overpriced. The restaurant states that it has an extensive wine list, but I found this not to be true. Not one Merlot on the list at all. When I asked for further descriptions of other wines on the list, the waitress got the resident expert for us, who basically just parroted the descriptions that were provided on the menu. This wasn't helpful at all, and they are unable to provide samples of the wine. So, we went with one of the cheaper bottles of wine on the menu, $42, and it was just ok. Nothing I'd ever order again. Found out later is was a $19.99 bottle you could buy elsewhere. I understand that restaurants must include an upcharge on bottles of wine, but does it have to be more than double the retail price? Ridiculous!

Then, at the end of the meal, instead of providing us with the bill, the server stood next to the table with her I-pad telling us the amount owed. I gave her my credit card, and she returned the I-pad to me to select the tip percentage while she stood there watching over us, which was a little weird to say the least. She then asked if I wanted a copy of the bill. Of course I wanted a copy of the bill since she never gave me the opportunity to review it before I paid! It wasn't until the next morning that I had the chance to look at the bill, and I was very surprised that I had been charged a $10.00 fee for the live entertainment. Never did anyone tell us that there is a $5.00 per person cover charge for the enjoyment of listening to the female guitar player singing mellow songs in the corner. This information should have been revealed up front so people can decide to stay or go, instead of slipping it in as a surprise charge at the bottom of the bill.

To make matters worse, the 20% tip I opted to give to the server also included a 20% tip on the $10.00 cover charge, as well as the $12.00 tax! Normally, people pay the tip on the cost of the food and drinks, not the cover charge and tax. I hope the server appreciated the larger than intended tip I gave her.

So, while we enjoyed the flavors of the food, I am left with a bad taste in my mouth since I feel deceived by the restaurant's undisclosed cover charge, the pre-selected tip options that automatically include a tip on the cover charge and tax, and the highway robbery upcharge on a very mediocre...

This is the third time I’ve been here. I really liked this place until today. I always eat solo since I’m only in town for work. I ate a great dinner…had some wine and when I was paying the bill I noticed that I was already charged gratuity which is not posted anywhere or was I told about by the waitress. I have NEVER been charged an automatic gratuity for 1 person. And now I’m wondering if I double tipped them the past because maybe I didn’t notice. Even this time it took me a second to realize gratuity was already in the bill. Or was this a one off and this was the first time I was charged and did this have racism associated with it. I really don’t know. Is this your policy (because then it should be stated somewhere) or do you just hire racists? It’s ridiculous, and I won’t be ever be coming back.

Edited to add: not sure how to respond to your message but a 20% gratuity was already added to my bill. It was under the total. There were not multiple options or any options to choose from when I received that bill because it was already added. When the signature receipt came, there was a blank option for gratuity, but since I had already noticed 20% was added, I didn’t add anything there. I thought it was strange, and I was going to say something but since I was going to leave a 20% tip anyway and I had had a long day, I didn’t. You can check the bill if you don’t believe me. I was there on Wednesday and left...

Met up with friends who had just gotten engaged hours before for drinks. This was our first time here and we're extremely disappointed by our service. Our waitress seemed annoyed towards the end of our visit here. When she brought us the ticket she assumed we all were on one ticket but were on 3 separate tickets (3 couples). When we asked to separate our tickets she acted as if this was extremely inconvenient for her. She actually sighed/huffed at us and told us it would be really "confusing". We were confused how this would be a hard task given the table only had a few bottles of wine per couple and 1- 2 desserts, none of it shared. We told her quickly and easily what each couple had so she could ring them up correctly. She wanted us to all split the ticket down the middle but we once again asked for the tickets to be separated. She was clearly irritated we didn't want to all pay together or one person wasn't paying for the whole ticket. Given my friends had just gotten engaged a few hours before this my husband and I didn't speak up about her rude behavior towards our table because we didnt want to ruin the mood (anymore than the waitress had already done). We will not be...

100000% worth it! Im not a fan of expensive restaurants in my opinion they are more for show, making the food pretty vs the food being unique & delicious but this place THIS PLACE! Is worth every single penny. We had a queso dip I can't remember the name (not pictured) and it sent my taste buds into a frenzy as soon as this deliciousness grazed my tongue. Have you ever had food that made you break out in a smile because it's eye rolling good? That's exactly what this queso did. It was only up from here too. We had the Barcelona pizza and it is unlike any pizza you'll taste anywhere else in LBK. We also had their special I can't remember what it was called but it came with saffron rice, shrimp and lamb.. the lamb was 🥴🤤. And as if this all was not enough the lighting & art were a whole vibe. Our waiter I can't remember his name (tall guy with long hair and a beard) but he's been my waiter every time I've gone and he's always so helpful, patient and willing to explain/help you with the menu especially the first time you go bc the menu is different than your typical restaurant in lbk and he never makes you feel silly for not understanding it or having questions. Absolutely love this place.

We had a great evening at La Diosa Cellars! The vibe is funky and artsy, with colorful eclectic decor, comfy chairs, and live music that perfectly matched the casual, lively atmosphere. The service was friendly and attentive even with a full house. We tried a variety of dishes and drinks—standouts included the sparkling sangrias (refreshing and not too sweet), the flatbread (fresh, with lots of basil and tomato), and the Angelina and Lorena tapas, both full of flavor and beautifully presented. Portions were generous—perfect for sharing and making the meal feel like a real experience. The empanadas were a table favorite, and the starters came out quickly. We also loved that there was live music, with an acoustic set that made conversation easy while still setting the mood. Prices are fair for the quality, and the small cover charge for music is absolutely worth it for the atmosphere. This is a must-visit spot if you like a relaxed, unique setting with creative food and drinks—perfect for a fun night out in Lubbock!

We really enjoy our little anniversary dinner going to this place was a highlight to our day. This place has very artistic decoration. The restaurant was clean and staff use a mask at all times, which is very important at this time. Bathroom are clean and spacious great for wheelchair users as myself. There’s only one bathroom, so if it is busy you’ll have to wait. The names on the menu are creative in keeping with the restaurant theme. The food is serve in small portions. If you’re a big eater just know this place is to the delight the palate and satisfied your hunger. Unless you order 2 serving for yourself like my husband did you won’t be full. For me, the portions was just right! Our server Olivia was so sweet and patient with us. She answer all our questions even the ones we didn’t know how to ask. Kuddos Olivia!! Overall it’s a great place to have a quiet dinner and delightful food! It’s a must return to try the other dishes.
