Blue Light — Local services in Lubbock

I called to ask a question about a concert and the receptionist immediately hung up and ended the call. I then later called back to apologize for any wrong doing I did. Needless to say, customer service needs to be addressed. When representing a company, it is always important to be welcoming and assist the customers needs. When you hang up on a customer in the middle of the conversation it shows that the company does not value their customers nor does it attract future business.

Being the first line of customer contact is not an easy job, but remember that you are representing the brand and when you decide to hang up on a customer it speaks louder than words. It directly affects the reputation of the brand and what they stand for. This altercation definitely made me disappointed in the staff member who I spoke with. It is also discouraging to the artists who play at the Blue Light and rely on the venue for their lively hood.

If you are going to want business, friendly customer service is mandatory. Hopefully this can be a learning lesson to those who are in charge of the Blue Light...

These are some of the rudest workers I have ever met in my entire life. My friend Hudson was playing for the night and had my friends and I on the guest list and they kicked us out of the green room and told us to come through the front because we are not 21 (which they did not inform Hudson that’s guests must be 21)…which would usually be understandable if they hadn’t spoken to us like we were stupid and quite literally scoffed at us when we couldn’t find the front door and made us feel like idiots. They also proceeded to be rude to our other friends who were on the guest list AND of drinking age and claimed they were “arguing” when he told him that his goes by his middle name that was on his ID. They accused us of lying about being on the list and laughed to eachother as if we were stupid. Worst...

Whether you live in Lubbock or are just passing you must stop by the Blue Light. It's a smaller venue that hosts excellent live music from aspiring and established artists, both near and far. I had the opportunity to listen in to the back half of Jim Clack's set and it was absolutely worth more than the $7 cover fee. I would have paid $50 easily for that nights lineup. You can pick your beverage of choice, take a seat and enjoy the night. There isn't much space for dancing, but if you're a true Texan any chunk of dirt and a partner is all you need. If you've been to any joint on 6th Street in Austin and feel like it's turned into a burning circus that's missing it's soul you're not alone. You can find it at the Blue Light. Country, hard rock and blues with Texas attitude is waiting...
