Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Lubbock

we went there earlier this afternoon and got the 12 piece family meal, everything was fine, up until we got home and noticed that we didn’t get our biscuits. i tried calling the store, but i guess their line was off the hook or something, so i drove back to retrieve my biscuits, mind you, we live about 20 minutes away from town, and when i got back to the store, the manager would not let me get a refund or replace my meal without returning my original order back to them, so i had to go all the way back home, just to bring them back the food i ordered. I have NEVER heard of any restaurant wanting food back after a customer has already taken it home!! I brought the food back, and the manager handed the bag back to her worker, and I sat there and saw her put the chicken back with the other chicken!! that’s disgusting!! it’s cross contamination for them to want the food back that i already had, then for them to put it back with the other food?! I was going to have them remake my order, but after i saw the worker put the chicken back with the other food, i just asked for a refund. the manager asked me to go inside so she can call her general manager to process the refund, so i did, but why couldn’t she handle it herself…as a manager, she should’ve known how to process the refund without going to her general manager, but whatever…i was so upset about the whole chicken situation, and i could’ve made a scene in front of the other customers, but i didn’t. i just walked out before i said anything out of frustration, but we will not be going back to this...

So the very rudest person they have taking orders.. originally I tried to ask about the surf and turf She kept on saying sorry my coworkers talking to me and I keep on laughing I asked him if the lobby open I'll just wait inside cuz she said the chicken tenders may be about a 5 or 10 minute wait I finally said well I'll just go inside she didn't hear me of course it would have saved me the time and effort if she would have said the lobby is closed cuz I asked her as a lobby open but she's too busy giggling talking about her Saturday night one night stand she's going to have this Saturday so I go to use the bathroom next door at another store I come back and I said the second time I would like to surf and turf and it says it on the actual billboard did you can add an extra side for $2 more she said they may look at the menu so not only is she not educated or knowledgeable of her own store that she works at then she gives me a list of other options that I wasn't asking for and when I proceed to tell her what I want just give me the surf and turf with the mashed potatoes and gravy at Dr pepper and add the $2 extra she then keeps giggling and laughing and says I'm sorry my coworkers talking to me I then got mad and I said can't you hear me if he goes you don't have to be rude about it bye with a ghetto accent that you would only see in the movie which I believe it was the white lady with the red hair talking so it wasn't her it was someone else I could not see on the intercom i...

My fiancé & I happened to be on this side of town on Friday & wanted some chicken so we stopped here. We spent over $30 on just 2 meals. When we got home I was absolutely disgusted by what they had given us. Our chicken was so hard that you physically couldn’t bite in to them. It was sooo old. The fries tasted as if they had been sitting since yesterday. The okra was literally crumbs of crust. Mind you we went right after lunch time so you’d think the food would have been somewhat fresh. I called to speak to the “manager” who stated her name was Destiny. I told her how awful the food was & that I couldn’t believe they were even ok serving this to ppl. I asked her as a manager what she would do to fix this & she ran me in circles. First it was she would put my name down to come back in the next 2 weeks & they’d remake my order. Then she switched to say I had to come back, bring the food & id be refunded.
