My fiancé and I tried swinging by Marble Slab this evening for some dessert to end our New Years evening together. Upon arriving in the parking lot, we saw BOTH employees roll their eyes and say some pretty rude things to each other while looking RIGHT at us. It was only 9:48pm and they do not close until 10pm. One employee was counting down the register and the other employee was cleaning and getting ready to close down, which is understandable, since they didn’t seem to be extremely busy at the time. Once we entered the shop, no one looked up at us, greeted us or even acknowledged us. I actually had to be the one to say “Hi! How are y’all?” I am an assistant manager at a cell phone store and that would never fly there- it would never fly anywhere I’ve ever worked in my life. We proceeded to order our ice cream and request strawberries in our ice cream when the employee said they’ve actually “already closed down their cold marble slab, since they’ll be closing soon.” Where I work, we are not able to close down until the time that is posted on our doors. Since the customer service was so poor, my fiancé and I decided to just leave. We are now in the drive thru at McDonald’s ordering ice cream cones, and even they are treating us better than Marble Slab... We just wanted a nice treat to end our day. This would have made my first time at Marble Slab... sad to say I won’t be revisiting anytime soon. January...

The young lady behind the counter was very rude and showed it in her facial expression that she truly is not a face for customer service. My sisters and I walked in around 3-4 minutes till 9 for ice cream. We noticed the chairs were up and that the young lady was cleaning, but prior to walking in the sign, it did reflect closing time for Sunday at 10pm. As we walked in the young lady behind the counter looked at us in disgust I'm assuming because we walked in a few minutes till closing which we weren't aware of at the time because again the sign on the store front says 10pm. I asked if the store was still open, and she rudely replied yeah you got 3 minutes.""" We were no longer interested at that point and went over to menchies and had a wonderful experience with the lady's working. When my sisters and I get together for something sweet, Marble slab was out meeting spot, but unfortunately, this was a complete turn-off, and this matter should be addressed before it happens to someone else, truthfully even though we walked in just before closing you still have to serve your customers and take pride in everything you do.It's not what you say it's...
Read moreMy husband and I went in today and our service and product were fantastic. However, as we set and ate our ice cream we observed some poor customer service. As we set a line grew rapidly. When it first started building up the owner (we assumed this is who it was since she was in athletic wear and not a uniform) was helping with a cake order so it was understandable that she was not helping with the line, but as she finished the line was still there. She preceded to go to the back and not help. We had seen another girl come out to the front when we were getting our product but she did not come out to help either. The young lady who was working the line was doing a fabulous job of staying calm and helping the still growing line. As we went to leave I went to the slab area to ask for a lid and the "owner" was gathering waffle cones in a tube. She looked straight at me and didn't ask what I needed. She instead look at the girl working and said the girl in the back would be up there shortly. Even as we were leaving there was no one in front helping move the line.
