One of the most decadent and superb places in Lubbock to get fresh, amazing seafood. This restaurant exemplifies fine dining. Walking in, almost immediately sets a calm cool tone with its sleek interior that is reminiscent of the 1950s. The other areas offer a stark contrast with a formal hall for more intimate and private dates (where I had mine) and the live music lounge brings you into the jazz age with a night club feel. The outside lounge offers a bar with soft comfortable white couches with a view of blue stone fire pit that is a great place to hold conversations. While the prices are above par for Lubbock standards, it is to be expected for a restaurant of its caliber in locations such as Dallas or New York City. The atmosphere of the environment is one of the best vibes I have ever had at a dining establishment. The staff is absolutely fabulous. To start off, our server Bobby is perfectly charming and charismatic. I can say without hesitation he is, if not the best, one of the most effective servers I have had the pleasure of meeting. He is courteous and has a great sense of humor. His suave personality is infectious and he knows how to dance the fine line without being a too attentive and overbearing server or being inattentive. His service was prompt and without question one of my all time favorite personalities. The menu has an amazing variety. Unfortunately they did not have the Raspberry Champagne Oysters, but the Rockefeller Oysters are creamy bites of heaven. My party and I also got to try the seafood tower and wow, what a display! A tower with an assortment of seafood that looked so fresh and savory. The shrimp were among the largest I have seen. The tower was garnished in lemons and the mist pouring down looked like a mystic waterfall. The seafood gumbo is one of the most flavorful and appetizing dishes. It feels like a home-cooked meal straight from the bayou's of southern Louisiana. The Miso glazed Seabass with a side of rice pilaf was absolutely decadent and seeped the flavors of umami. It is quite filling and has such a buttery, savory taste. A taste of my friend's medium rare wagyu filet that was cooked exactly to order was scrumptious and just melts in the mouth. The lobster tail and crab legs were a feast in itself with such large portion sizes and is truly one of the highlights of our dinner. Topped with their herbed butter it was one of the richest meals I have had in a while. After eating we moved to the outside lounge and got to meet an exceptional bartender named Derick. His Old fashioned is to die for and watching him make it is like watching a masterpiece being made. The beverages at Brisas are refreshing and flavorful. The diamond martini is quite strong, but just spells luxury with every sip. All in all one of the best places to visit in Lubbock and a high end experience if one just wants to splurge and treat themselves. Great place for dates and just for nights to get away and form some lasting memories.

Update Feb 2023- Restaurant needs more servers in a big way. Our server has at least 8 or 9 tables, half we're sat at the same time. Food took way too long to come out, and my steak was very overdone, but we didn't want to wait another hr for them to make it over. Disappointed in this place, was hoping (expecting) for a bit better. And this sign is one of the first things you see when entering. ________________________________ Nice place, good food, friendly servers. We like sitting in the dining room more than the sports lounge, feels a bit more like you're at a restaurant instead of a sports bar. Nice memorabilia on the walls in the sports lounge, but people need to keep their kids from interrupting diners, just to get a close up look at a photo on the wall. Food is tasty, sauces on the pastas run a little rich. Place gets crowded after 6 but what decent place doesn't?

Food was generous in portion and all tastes fantastic. I'd only ask for more tomato on the entree. They offered a neat selection of harder liquor, Irish was a bit limited (theres more out there than redbreast orJameson, check out Greenspot or Yellowspot, Tullamore Dew etc). The biggest deal is that the offered glen cairns for scotches and whiskey. It makes a big difference nosing. Some pours were overly generous for the glass but never short. My one and only real issue was getting service. We sat for 10 min on the patio after we were seated at by a hostess (who brought no menus or silverware) and had to flag people down. After that it was all great. We will be back, hoping to knock it up to 5 stars with better seating service.

I am very disappointed in the service we received from this establishment. We had made reservations about 2 weeks in advance for my friends birthday party and reserved the patio area. When we came to decorate, the patio was still full of people due to a live band being there. This was fine as the manager did explain to us that this would be the case but that the people would clear out of there by 10. We proceeded to eat, drink and make the best out of this situation but the service was horrible. It seemed as they had all staff on deck to the patio area and totally disregarded us. I hate to be the person to pull the race card however, I definitely feel as it was racially driven. Our party was a bunch of Mexicans and the patrons outside were a lot of Caucasian persons. Our waitresses took forever, our orders were wrong, and to make matters worse, they were mixing up everyone's tabs. I feel as though we were completely disregarded and its even more disappointing that this was supposed to be a birthday celebration that we were all trying to just enjoy the night and celebrate them. In any event, my friend noticed her card had been OVERCHARGED and because it was her birthday, she was intoxicated so did not recall all that had been charged. I reached out to the manager days later and explained that they "accidentally" charged my friend for my meal in which i had paid cash thinking that it was an honest mistake. The manager was apologetic and reassured me that she would refund that amount to my friend. She asked for the receipt that shows I paid cash (which I did not get a copy of my receipt) however, I asked her to please email me all the receipts from every single persons tab at our party that night because my friend still told me that she was still overcharged way too much. I wanted to cross reference all the charges and get with everyone to see who paid for what and if anyone left without paying their bill. SIDE NOTE: several people from our party tipped the two waitresses that we had that night VERY WELL. I could say they made $300-$400 in tips alone that night. Anyways, upon investigating these receipts and speaking with other members of our party that night, I notice that there is a pattern of the tickets that were paid cash were duplicated and then charged to my friend. Almost $300 of the cash payments had been forwarded to my friends final tab. I also noticed that one of the receipts had a $55. discount and my other friend said they never received a discount and paid that tab in total. I called up there discussing this issue and was told that the waitress was pocketing the cash payments and charging them to my friend. 😡. We were treated horribly while we were there. Our orders were wrong. Our patio reservation was NEVER HONORED. Our orders all took FOREVER and all we got was a sorry and refunded what the waitress stole from us. I dont EXPECT them to give us anything for free but there was no GENUINE REMORSE in their apology and they did not go out of their way to show us that they were genuinely sorry either. I really didnt want to have to say anything or talk about this on a public platform but I see that they are continuing their horrible service and not making any changes. A business like this does not deserve to have our business if they can't even treat ALL OF THEIR customers with respect equally. Customers are the reason why their doors are open and their doors do not deserve to stay open when they treat their patrons...

Not awful, not great.

Our whole party was looking forward to coming since a few of our friends suggested we try it. We heard all about the great blueberry muffins before going but never even saw those on the menu to order or try them.

3 people at our table got the Texas Fish n Chips. I was one of them and got it partly b/c the menu said it comes with remoulade sauce...and I have been in Lubbock for 20 years and have only found one other restaurant that serves remoulade!

They brought our food out and none of the orders had remoulade. Two plates came with tartar sauce and one had only ketchup. I waited to eat so I could ask about the sauce. It was over five minutes before our server checked on us and I said, "the menu said these came with remoulade but we didn't get any, did y'all run out?" She said, "no, would you like some?" I said, "yes we would. I just assumed it would have come with the meal." (At this point our drinks were all empty and had hadn't been refilled once).

Ten minutes later (drinks still empty) she finally came back and brought us TWO sides of marinara sauce. She just dropped them on the table as she walked by and didn't stop. It was odd she brought the wrong stuff AND didn't bring enough for the 3 actual orders.

About 5 mins later one of the hosts stopped by the table (I'm assuming b/c she saw our drinks were empty... still) and asked us if we needed anything. I requested remoulade and a refill. She was pretty quick to do both (but only brought one small side of remoulade).

It was a little disappointing that 3 of us ordered something right off the menu, no special additions or prep and only one of us got what the description said we would get and even then it took over 20 minutes AFTER the food was served to us...

We did get our drinks refilled (once) by the host in that time.

I wouldn't not go back again... But it won't be a place I'll recommend when friends ask me for...
