Had a party of 10, waited over 1 1/2 hours to be seated while other parties of 8 to 13 were seated before us and we had arrived first. After being seated it took about 10 minutes for just the drink orders . Once the drinks came out we said we were ready to order. The waiter said he would be right back to take appetizer order. Thirty minutes later we had to flag him down to take our main order. After another 45 minutes, half the order was wrong, one was missing and one order of chicken cordon bleu was burnt and it was the size of a playing card. The cordon bleu was taken back to be redone, this took another 15 minutes. My wife was waiting for me to receive my order before she ate, so of course now her food was cold. Once everyone got their food the waiter picks up all the half empty glasses and drops them on one of our friends, as well as, leaving a huge puddle of water on the floor. He left and didn't come back. We had to find a manager to ask for a towel so she could dry off and told him about the floor. He ordered one of his staff to get a wet floor sign and that was the end of it. The water was never cleaned up and he never came back to follow up and check on us. Once our tickets finally came out they were all wrong and it took forever to get the tickets straightened out. The whole experience took us right at 5 hours to eat that night. Our friend who had the water spilled on her finally flagged the manager again to tell him how this whole experience was unexcetable and all he could say was he came from a "five star restaurant" to here and he was trying to fix things. Didn't offer to do anything for us that night except came back with coupons or something and told our friend he wanted her to give Teddy Jacks another chance- she declined Over all extremely disappointed especially with inconsiderate and rude manager. His lack of concern over a large puddle of water that never dried even once we left, makes it pretty hard to believe he came from a " five...
Read moreUsually love this place; however, we called a a day prior to going in to find out if we could make a reservation. My father was coming into town from 80 miles away to watch my son play basketball and to celebrate my birthday and we all wanted to eat together. We were told that they did not take reservations but if we called 45 minutes prior to our meal time they would add our name to the list. When we called we were told that was not an option (from one day to the next) and that someone would need to be present to check in. My father left the game to go check in at the resturant and missed getting to watch him play....misunderstanding...ok we can get over that, they were making an exception and trying to accommodate us, and I appreciate that; however, when our order came out they could not figure out which table the food belonged to. We asked for additional silverware packets because the ones we were given literally had dirt on them from the table, the server brought us more but seemed to be bothered that we would make such an unreasonable request, and literally threw the new silverware on the table, which also ended up dirty because they didn't bother to clean the table even after the issue was pointed out. The final straw was when our food did finally get out, they forgot to put in the order for my 90 year old grandmother. By the time they made the order and got it back to the table everyone's food was cold (we waited to eat until everyone had their food out of respect, maybe old school, maybe our fault because we did this.) I typically do not write long drawn out reviews; however, I feel it needs to be addressed. Needless to say, I will not be frequenting this...
Read moreThis place was great. Lots of energy in this place. People in good spirits. Staff happy and making conversation and having sincere interests in how I was enjoying the restaurant.
So I was in town for business and asked the hotel staff about a good, but fun place to go on a Saturday night. Surprisingly, both hotel staff said Teddy Jack's, almost at the same time. I immediately started thinking that this would be the run of the mill locale that gets spoken of to tourists. So, hesitation aside, I decided to check it out.
Yes, it was crowded, and the hostess quoted a 15 minute wait for a table... I wasn't interested in the wait, but before I could say anything she offered that I have an open seat at either one of the two bars... great!
I made my way past the front bar and into another huge, bright, high energy room in the back. I found a seat next to another patron and was immediately greeted by the bartender. I ordered a whiskey which was quickly poured. Like most restaurants the drink was quickly finished because there was more ice than drink... pretty typical. I should have had it on the rocks.
Menu came and there are many many delicious looking/sounding dishes to choose from, I honestly could have picked at least 4 dishes. So I decided on the City Slicker burger, which was avocado, bacon, and something else.... Wow, probably one if the best burgers I ever had, I I really, really enjoyed eating it.
After the burger and a side of "true" onion rings. I decided to leave, all the time wait staff talking and smiling each time I looked...
