We haven't been to firehouse in a long while. Turns out we won't be going back! We arrived to an empty restaurant with 1 person behind the counter, she did not acknowledge we came in just kept making a sandwich. After 4 minutes of being ignored another staff member came in carrying their personal Starbucks order. She proceeded to put it in the back and came out a few minutes later and asked us what we wanted to order. We ordered the steamer and the cheese steak both hot and med. After paying $30 for two small subs and two chips they started making the order... Slowly. After several minutes I walk up to check on the order and it seems one of the workers used the wrong portions and decided to throw it out and start over (used large portion instead of med). Then said "it will be some more minutes". I let them know we were sitting at the tables out front. They did not alert us it was ready but put it on the counter in grease covered to go boxes. I got our food and at this point was not surprised to find it was not hot, my extra cheese was not on it..... And the med is super skinny and short.... Oh yeah... The meat only covered half of the small sub... This is not what I remember or expect from a place that charges over $30 for two half meatless subs. Never going back! Also, the manager or district manager needs to address the customer service. It would be nice if the staff was not listening to their air pods...

We would order our subs (my wife) Hook & ladder hot & tossed meat divide across the sub and Meatball for myself. Always regular and Large. Most times with a side soup, salad or dessert. While order was in process, we walked next door to get our coffee. Never disappointed. However, for the past year and a half much has changed. The order is never right, meat is slapped on one end or in the middle. Toppings are wrong most of the time, and the staff play and chat (out loud sometimes) about personal life. Today was one of those days. Although, staff quiet our sub was still messy. I can’t continue to pay for such a sloppy meal…. Please get it right! Read moreThis location (Lumberton,NC) is a sorry excuse for a FireHouse Subs! The manager stayed on his personal cell phone throughout our whole visit. I ordered an Italian sub with no Italian seasoning and added peppers. But I’m assuming since he was so busy with his conversation, he couldn’t be bothered to get my order right, then disappeared for 15 minutes so the cashier made me a new one. And after being in the facility I can see why they have a health score of 92 (the grading was a bit lenient if you ask me). The floors were completely sticky, the trash is overflowing, the drink station was a complete mess and WHY would you be sweeping the kitchen WHILE AN ORDER IS BEING MADE??
