This visit was a huge disappointment. When we arrived we were told we had to wait to be seated, even though they weren't busy and a lot of empty tables were available. (Wondering if they had staffing issues can how to figure out what section would be available with a server?) Beverage orders were taking quickly and warm rolls for brought to the table. The reason we chose to come here was we wanted to get the Marshall Dillion Plate, however we were informed that they had already run out (this was at 5 pm on a Tuesday night). So we had to figure out what we were going to actually order. One person decided to order the sizzler which is a plate full of steak, chicken, grilled onions, peppers, and shrimp thwlat is served at the table SIZZLING. The steak was asked to be med rare. What they got was a mildly warm plate (NO SIZZLE) with well done steak and very tiny shrimp; the chicken onion and peppers were good. Next person ordered steak & potatoes w/ side salad. Salad was good, steak was warm and potatoes had no flavor/seasoning. The next person ordered a med rare steak with sauteed mushrooms & a sweet potato (both were premium sides with an upcharge). What he got was a tough, bland, warm steak with sauteed onions (huh??) and a VERY SMALL and OVER COOKED sweet potato. Told the waiter it was supposed to be sauteed mushrooms, which he brought quickly (I think this was the hottest thing that was brought to the table all night). The sweet potato was inedible - just mushy- customer did not eat it. The last person at the table ordered the blackened grilled catfish with broccoli (instead of fries) and an added side salad. The catfish had good flavor however it was very cold and small portions. They forgot the broccoli and brought fries (not ordered). The side salad was good. Server was very nice. I'm not sure if it was an issue with the kitchen or the server was overworked and not able to get our food to us quickly enough, but everyone at the table was highly disappointed No, we did not bring this up to the manager because when we first got there, he was in the bar, out on the main floor, yelling at somebody; truly not sure if it was a customer or an employee, and we sincerely felt that we would not get any satisfaction with our complaints. We will not be back to the Texas steakhouse, in Lumberton, again, unless we...
Read moreI don’t even know what to say… I’m visiting family and stop in to get dinner and it was absolutely horrible! Service and food was absolutely terrible. Upon arrival we got seated immediately cool, we received the drinks and then manger Brandon came over to bribe us with a 5 bucks off the bill if we give a 5 star review!!!! Like what who does this…. I see why food was so late coming to the table, yes we had a party of 6 but come on salads shouldn’t take 35 min and only 9 tables being occupied. Appetizers came and we asked for plates from a different manger (lady) took 9 mins to receive those. Then another 50 min for the entries to come out. Burnt mushrooms, cold food and steak was not cooked to order. Kids meal came out and it was boiled noodles and a little cheese on top. We asked for a plastic fork or spoon and never received it after the entire time of waiting while Brandon walked around bribing guest to give a 5 star review. Completely unacceptable! I was told why the MANAGER Brandon forgot about fork is because he was running around and got busy. Sever acted like she was CLUELESS AND DIDNT CARE. Not once was a apology received or even a good explanation only deflected and gave excuses for all the nonsense. While my dinner party was still polite and respectful.
I looked at the reviews and see plenty of reviews with 5 stars literally a hour before I’m posting this, which meant he accomplished his goal of getting better rating while he has very unsatisfied guest. Shows how much pleasing and making things correct with the guest mattered to him.
I also observed plenty of people returning the meals they ordered due to unsatisfactory or just disappointment. CRAZY HOW A 5 dollar off deal can make people not tell the truth and be honest about the experience. I will NEVER recommend this establishment to anyone.
Forgot to tell you before everyone food came out we got asked if we wanted the checks and someone still was waiting on the food to be remade… now would you want...
Read moreSteak was cooked well done when ordered as medium The server was friendly and polite, but our glasses went empty multiple times Was hit with 18% gratuity on the bill for a table of 4 adults and 2 children 5 and under (we were going to leave a larger tip because we understand how the serving industry is but when it was unknowingly added to the bill we find it unfair) Was brought 2 rolls for the table and told they were out of bread for the night The table of 2 that was sat behind us 5 minutes later was brought a basket of bead with 4 pieces. Asked again about the bread and was told again they were out of bread for the night. When we got up to leave, we saw a server (who claimed to be the manager) carrying out more bread to other tables. On the way out, we made sure to inform the next customers entering about our experience, and they responded and laughed with " yea, you never know what kind of experience we're going to receive here." The kitchen manager, I believe he said his name was Matt Griswald, who was very polite and apologized while we were outside talking to him. We also noticed that while we were dining , he was constantly trying to get the other staff to do work, such as clear tables and wrap silverware, when they showed no desire to do any work. Hopefully, Matt will be able to make improvements to the establishment as he seems to be the only one present who cares about his job. I've also talked to a few people who live around the area who laugh and shook their head when I told them we stopped in while traveling thru. Sounds like this place is know as a joke...
