Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Lumberton

This location has really gone down hill since first opening. Visited here 9/30/21 after not being back after a couple of weeks for the same thing. They take your money, give you your drinks, then ask you to pull up and wait for your food. That’s where you’re going to wait for the next 30 minutes to an hour for your food. On my last trip, I had enough waiting after 20 minutes and went in and asked for my order. They asked me what my order was and was completely oblivious to what I was waiting on. They had already cleared my order out that it was done (therefore, glad I went in because they weren’t bringing me anything). They take my receipt and have to still make my order. I went back to wait in my truck for another 15 minutes. My three kids were restless by then so I sent them in (ha ha you deal with them) for refills and ask for anything they could possibly eat because they’re dad was not going to be happy if he had to come back in. They came back jumping up and down to let me know they got their refills and some hot apple pies. We still waited another 5 minutes before a lady came out and apologized for the long wait. She seemed very frustrated with their lack of service, but I told her, “You don’t need to apologize for bad management. There is obviously issues going on that go beyond your control. Keep doing your best and the rest will work out.” Total wait time for my recent visit: 15 minutes, so there has been that...

I went last week at around 8 p.m. I was excited to try it and it wasn’t as crowded. I ordered 6 chicken sandwiches for dinner. I received the order within 5 minutes which I thought a little unusual. I paid $26 and some change. Took the meal straight home in Lumberton. All of the sandwiches were raw in the middle and rubbery. They all were inedible. I can’t afford another $26 and change just to “try” them again. I did take pictures and I have a receipt.

Update May 7,2021 1:45 p.m. Today I gave Popeyes another chance. All I ordered was a 2 piece and 2 apple pies. I was the only one in line at the time. After waiting 10 minutes at the drive thru window, watching the workers playing and yelling at each other,even mgmt was playing, the girl looks at me and asks me to pull up to the second window. I did and sat there another 10 minutes. A guy brought out my order and apologized which he was very nice. I start to look in the bag to make sure it’s correct and the girl in drive thru SCREAMS “ MISS CAN YOU PLEASE GET OUT OF MY DRIVE THRU SO MY CUSTOMERS CAN PULL UP?” I was mortified. I pulled over, there were 2 cars there. I will never go back. It’s ok to make sure my food is all there cause I can’t tell u the amount of times I’ve paid for food I never received. Please hurry up and finish Arby’s. I’ll go to kfc in Beaumont from now on. Big mistake...

Wasn't going to share about my experience yesterday but I almost feel obliged to do so. Getting take out from Popeyes is a hit and miss thing at best, sometimes it's good and sometimes it's not. This is one of those times when it wasn't. I pulled up to place my order for two classic chicken sandwiches total $10.80. The line was inching forward little by little. When I finally made it to the checkout counter the girl said $20, I said NO I ORDERED 2 CLASSIC CHICKEN SANDWICHES. She then closed the window and took about 5 minutes or longer to do I don't know what, When she finally came back to the window I asked her what's the problem? She said oh I mixed up the orders. Okay?? Meanwhile there's a lineup stretching along the building getting longer and longer. I'm sure people are getting very frustrated! Well Glory Hallelujah I finally got my two chicken sandwiches, headed home. I just want to say these sandwiches were well let's just say one was good one wasn't. My chicken was rubbery my wife's was okay. All I can say is I can't wait till Chick-Fil-A open up, this is where I'll be going to get my chicken sandwiches for sure. I'm leaning more and more towards eating in these days and less take out. This experience only supports that decision! Dang why can't you just get two decent chicken...
