Sweet Bee Boutique and Desserts — Restaurant in Lumberton

When sending gifts, I always order from local shops close to the recipient whenever possible, and this little Lumberton boutique looks so cute online. I haven't visited the store in person as I'm long distance, but I did not have a good experience purchasing perishable items for delivery. FYI they use USPS for perishable priority deliveries. Fresh baked goods can become not so fresh and good in Texas heat when they spend over a week in trucks/facilities (even though priority delivery = 1 to 3 business days, and the recipient is within 1 mile of the store). No one ever answers the phone at the store, and there's no way to leave a message. Email is the only remote way to contact, and they simply don't respond in a timely manner. It didn't matter in the end anyway, because the store washes their hands of any responsibility once it ships. I guess it's their prerogative to handle shipping issues that way, but most places try to make it right somehow. I let them know what happened, and they're apparently fine with my terrible customer...

My wife and I love supporting local businesses. She shops at a lot of online boutiques, and local boutiques. We placed an order on January 14, the website and the email I received said it will take 1-3 days to ship out. after a week of not having any shipping confirmation I reached out to them. It took them 1 day to respond and then said the order will ship out next day. I waited two more days and still no shipping confirmation. The order Finally shipped out on January 26. Almost two weeks after the order. Because of their delay in actually packaging the order one of the items my wife wanted suddenly became out of stock. Then we received the order on Feb. 5, and received the wrong size shoe. I will not be doing business here again. They may be better in store but will not be ordering a shipping order from here again. Customer service is not the best...

The cake design was perfect. They hooked it up on a short notice but I feel the quality of the cake wasn’t 45$ I could have went to H.E.B. And grabbed on of theirs for $15.00 and just added my toppings I wanted. It was nothing special as far as taste. I gave 3 stars because of the short notice and the freshness of the cake and short notice. There was no different taste from the chocolate icing to the peanut butter icing. Wasn’t worth 45 bux at all but do appreciate at least putting forth effort in making a cake...
