Hate to be the one to point this out but that store is not what it seems...from employment experience...they dont clean the tea or coffee lines they tried to have me put corrosive sink cleaner in the sink while there were lettuce and tomatoes in the water i refused to perform that, another thing on more than one occasion has a needle been found in the bathroom after employees have come out of the stalls in both mens and womens bathrooms, do have some info on the manager as well about firing employees over personal vendettas between said manager and other employees as well as changing employees hour numbers to negatively alter their checks ive literally went to clock out for break once and i noticed every number down to seconds, minutes and hours were being changed right in front of me on the screen, honestly this entire town needs to be quarantinely investigated as the whole town except maybe a handful of the 4 thousand persons that populate this area i can assure you the friendly is just a mask just look up some of the corruptional history about luray VA and you'll find that the head sherriff was part of meth distribution throughout the town whos only persecution was getting demoted to the court house door man that opens the court room door to let you enter the judges presence...with that said i hope anyone that sees this does some research or next time you visit luray just look a little harder its really not hard to notice especially not being from here, stay safe and trust no one here as i said THEY ARE ALL IN ON IT, one more thing crossed my mind as well you can all look it up but its what 1 in 5 people..maybe 4 or 5 out of 10 people that you meet and are originated from luray are child molesters so like i said look a little harder everyone being so friendly isnt what you think it is they were probablly eye balling and trying to get close to the children you had with you there is such thing as to friendly to where it raises a flag the fact that registered child molesters in this area DO NOT have to follow their court orders to knock on everyones door that has just newly moved in(that have kids) and fullfill their court order of notifying said new neighbors with children that they are a child molester and live in...
Read moreAfter a nice time at Luray Caverns, we had the misfortune of stopping at this McDonald's to get something quick to eat. We placed our order for dine-in at the self service kiosk, and sat down and waited patiently. After 20 minutes of waiting and seeing not even a french fry head in our direction, I went to the counter to see what was going on.
To my surprise our ticket #873 was nowhere on the screen of orders that were in progress. I asked the young lady at the counter where our order was, and she said they were making it, but it was busy. I asked her how they were making it, if our number wasn't even on the screen. She then admitted she'd mistakingly given our order to another family that was dining in. (How did that happen when the table numbers are specific for each order?)
I then told her I wanted a refund, and gave her my receipt. She got the manager and i explained the situation to her and why I wanted a refund. She asked for my receipt, and I explained the cashier had it. The cashier then stated again that they were making the order. At this point I said that all I wanted was my money back because we'd been waiting 30 minutes for 3 kids meals, a value meal, and 2 sandwiches!
The manager then told the cashier to go get the receipt. When the cashier returned from the back, she stated another worker had lost our receipt!! I had to stand there and one by one tell her everything that we ordered, so I could get my refund.
The manager, Anne, was extremely apologetic, and I appreciate her handling the situation. I don't appreciate wasting 40 minutes of my family's time, or the fact that no one in the restaurant bothered to come and tell us they'd given our food away!
The bright side is we went to the Burger King next door, and they were great. Customer service, and layout were MUCH better than this McDonald's. Enter at...
Read moreOne of the least professional restaurants I've been in and that's a low bar for fast food. We've had issues here multiple times but today was the last chance I'll give them. We were the only customers in the dining room and nearly every table was dirty. A manager was walking around yelling into her phone while it was on speaker. The topics were questionable at best and this is in the public dining room.
We ordered an easy meal and waited 15 minutes. Never offered a cup or brought out the food. They just yelled out our table number, as a half dozen employees giggled and cursed behind the counter. We were there over an hour and never saw an employee step out to check stock, wipe tables, deliver food to dine in customers, or anything except drive through orders. It was play time and a new manager was the center of the show when we left.
There aren't many options in Luray so they think they don't need to take service seriously. Still, the owners and managers should be embarrassed. It's becoming a known fact around town that this place is more frat house than restaurant. Even the basics are being...
