It’s nice to see the face lift transformation going on at Lynden Dairy Queen. The unorganized feel of the place was understandable. The staff was not awesome tonight and it didn’t feel like they tried too hard to make sure our order was right. It was not right when delivered to our table, and she apologized when asked about it. They didn’t make it right for us and it wasn’t worth a long wait in line to get what was ordered.
Sadly, Dairy Queen in general has declined over the years. Quality and portion sizes are down and the value is no longer there for me. Many years ago I ran a Dairy Queen and believed it to be one of the best fast food choices in America based on quality and price which equals value. They dominated the Industry because both food and deserts were leaders. Now DQ has turned the corner with the other franchise players and while they still have on par offerings as the other guys, they no longer stand out on taste, portion size, price and fun. Read moreEverything is usually pretty good at the Lynden restaurant. Today I went in to purchase a ice cream cake they are delicious. Picked one out went to the register the price on the cake was marked $23.99. I handed the Lady my credit card she rang the cake up and swiped my card and said your total is $28.55. I thought to myself I believe there is something wrong. Looked at my receipt and said ma’am you overcharged me by $ 2.00. She then told me the prices went up I just haven’t had had time to change the prices yet. I told her I thought it was bad business. I left the store with a bad feeling and know this only $ 2.00.
