The restaurant only had 2 other tables occupied when we arrived for lunch on a Saturday. I ordered the Arroz Con Pollo which was supposed to be their "Signature dish". Not sure what that means but I assume it's the owners favorite. It's one of my go-to dishes when trying a new place. My wife had an enchilada and tostada combo. Prices were average. $18-$20 We received the obligatory chips and salsa right away. Our food came in an average amount of time, but I never received my soda until I asked for it. Would have been nice to have when eating the chips and salsa before the meal. The arroz con pollo was ok. It was a bit bland and the chicken was "squeaky" in your teeth. if that makes sense. Not tough. Just maybe dry? The fresh tortillas were doughy. Definitely not cooked all the way. The ground beef in my wife's dish was bland also. Could have used some salt and more chili powder maybe. Neither the owner/manager guy that seated us nor the person who brought us our food ever came by to ask how our food was or if we needed anything. We noticed the single gentlemen at the only other occupied table had to get up and ask for his bill. When we were finished, we waited a bit since we weren't in a hurry. Finally, I got up and walked toward the kitchen. The manager apologized and stated that they were really busy with to-go orders. He immediately came out with the bill and walked away. I then walked to the register to get his attention again. Overall disappointing. I will try a different place next time I...
Read moreRun, run as fast as you can! Horrible service and the food was even worse. We walked inside to the sign that said "wait to be seated" stood there for four minutes, one of the waitress's must have been on break and ignored us as she ate at a table. Then finally a guy back in the kitchen waved us in to seat our selves. The waiter came and took our order, my wife and I were surprised that they do not have pork on the menu so I ordered a carnitas de res, and my wife ordered a tostada meal with rice and beans. YUCKY
Read moreHonestly I feel like the quality of the food has gone down, and lately the last few times we've went we've felt rushed out the door even when it's not busy. I wasn't even halfway done with my food when I took my 6 year old to the bathroom and we returned to complimentary desserts, the check and then were ignored completely. Unfortunate because this is typically our go to Mexican food place, but looks like that will be changing. :/ maybe it was just put server, but the gal we've ended up with as a server the last few times seems to not be a great server, mixing up orders, she even gave the table next to us someone else's check entirely and she had to keep coming back to put table to double check what we were ordering when placed out orders. She came back saying she got confused. Which I get happens, we are all human, but the subpar service the last few times has been...
