We used to love this place under the prior management. Things under the new management were rough for a while. They finally reached a point where things leveled out and management-tenant relations were okay. However there is still very, very much left to be desired here.
The big one for me is the thief in the package room had gone unidentified for far too long (to the point that I don't think management was taking the issue seriously, despite numerous different tenants having their packages stolen and there is a camera in the package room and cameras elsewhere throughout the building) all while management put ZERO effort into mitigating controls. Management also does not take any ownership of the package room, its contents, nor its responsibilities to the tenants regarding the security of the packages. For a very long time the room would not lock and tenants were left to fend for themselves. After moving out I contacted the office to advise that a package ordered long in advance was being delivered and could not be sent to my updated address. I advised around the time the package should have arrived. Management said they would look but their recommendation was to just "order another one". This was a limited run - I'm not able to get my money back and I'm not able to order a new one, so management is accountable for this. I returned later to inquire and I received the same push-back "we haven't seen it, just order a new one". This issue coupled with issue #1 is very suspicious, I'm not able to rule out the possibility that office staff are stealing packages and the disregard for my finances makes them sound more suspect. I don't have any facts to make an accusation but I am saying the behavior is suspicious all the same. Either way, management has not contacted me regarding the whereabouts or lack thereof of my package that was delivered almost 3 months ago and I'm still awaiting their reply. At minimum, this demonstrates disregard for tenants and their property. Management had been unable to use the cameras in the building for a considerable period of time. The lapse in service, to the best of my knowledge, did not overlap with the thief in the package room. But this speaks to management's inability to take ownership of the building premises. Trash. Management has had ongoing issues with trash in the building which was never an issue under previous management. The trash chute continually filled because the bins at the bottom weren't being changed out timely. When management first took over they also decide to reduce the number of trash pickups, a bad decision which they eventually had to reverse. Parking. The bar downstairs attracts very many patrons, as does the gym. When the bar gets particularly packed bar patrons would park in tenant-only parking which, at times, meant we had to park elsewhere. The tow company would not take any action because of staffing issues. I raised this to management and advised them to get a new tow company if this one cannot fulfill their part of the agreement. No action was taken, the old tow company's signs were still up and later calls to the tow company indicated they were still in an agreement.
In fairness, management deserves praise for some action taken which I will include. Management had ended their relationship with the prior laundry vendor who did a terrible job maintaining their machines to the point people started going to the laundromat. Management ended the relationship and took on a new vendor with brand new machines. Management identified needs for updates (toilets being the big one, and the dog park was updated as well) and undertook major projects to perform those updates. Management was fair and reasonable in their tenant exit practices. Management had issues with some office employees which they were quick to fix.
Overall giving 2/5 stars. Very unhappy with much of our experience and unhappy with my ongoing difficulties with the office over my missing package. But management has taken some positive actions which are a...
Read moreI would NEVER recommend anyone to live here or ever move back in here again, and here are the list of reasons why … I would give ZERO stars The building is DIRTY! There is dog pee and poop on the elevators, in the hallways, people leave their dog poop and don’t pick it up outside, you can’t even walk along the water without potentially stepping in dog poop Continue with the DIRTY CONDITIONS.. trash chutes are ALWAYS backed up and people leave their trash in the hallway next to the chute, which attracts lots of flies and the hallways stink (on every floor) there’s a HUGE BUG problem - ants, roaches, flies in your apartment whether is clean or not, it has happened on every floor (as per different residents I’ve spoken to) the elevators are disgusting!!! There’s blood or dirt or what looks like poop on them and the wall ALL THE TIME. The package room is never locked. PACKAGES get STOLEN or are opened and management doesn’t help they tell you to contact the delivery company yet you pay rent for a secure package room. This has been going on for months! Other people go through your packages, will take them and then leave what’s left at your door. The LAUNDRY room !!! Most of the washers and dryers are broken, they don’t rinse the clothes or the dryers don’t spin or dry your clothes and your SOL on the money you put in. The leasing office doesn’t not process your MONEY FOR RENT correctly and says you didn’t pay it and they charge you late fees etc. one again this not only happened to me but other friends and residents who have lived here, and takes a month or two to straighten out. People SMOKE legitimately RIGHT outside the front doors and if you have kids or respiratory issues you’re going to have a problem. The office does not stop them regardless of the no smoking signs. PARKING IS TERRIBLE! Between the bar, fitness class, nail salon there is NO WHERE to park at times and you’ll be driving around until someone leaves. They even are now towing cars even if you’re HANDICAP because there aren’t enough handicap spots and you park in the front. A The elevators are broken half the time and you GET STUCK IN THE ELEVATOR or it jumps numerous times before getting to your floor. Not to mention the elevators are filthy!!! This place is only out for the money they do NOT care about their residents. The office is a revolving door, and they always seem to find the most heartless, rude people.
Again these issue have not only affected me but other residents as well, it’s a general consensus
If you want decent rent even though you will be paying extra fees ontop of it and don’t care about the living conditions this is the place for you. There’s more than meets the eye and the will sell it to you!...
Read more1 star isn’t even something I would give this place. Since the transition from renew to parc it’s been downwards spiral. Not only is management incompetent but they are extremely rude. From May 2022 to around October 2022 the apartment above mine had been leaking in which if caused damage to the ceiling and MOLD in the main bedroom. All they did was paint over the issue. Management strives to make residents happy when in reality they strive to sit on their butts and collect a paycheck to do nothing. I have a medical condition in which I had a service dog that unfortunately passed away, months later I went to start the process of having another and I requested a letter stating fees would be waived. After 10 emails and several calls about this letter which took TWO months and having to physically take time off of work for half of a day I finally received the letter. Which was risking my health. I’m sure a call to an attorney would’ve pushed this matter faster. The manager who also lives in the building is NEVER AROUND. Strolls in late, leaves early. Not to mention if the portal is down for repairs they request physical checks in which are indeed cashed however, you get a late fee of $75 even though it’s been paid ON TIME. I do not recommend this building. They don’t care about residents. They don’t care about anything. There is trash on each floor, the smell from said trash is absolutely horrendous! Charging fees now for amenities in which most residents do not even use, charging extra for the community room. Quick way to push everyone out. The older residents there who have ambulatory issues are forced to leave down six flights of stairs for random fire alarm checks. It’s also not totally handicap accessible. On my last week I noticed also several cockroaches and was told it would be addressed. Fast forward to the day I moved out… I saw about a dozen strolling around the back elevator. This issue won’t be resolved. Instead of charging more per unit maybe you should call pest control and have the place sprayed accordingly and have mold issues...
