How fun! We visited Lucille for a wine tasting event and were blown away by all the other programs they offer (Greek cuisine and wine pairing program, I'm looking at you! Also, wine club... why not!?). Plus, they have quite a wide selection of wines from all over the world. Bonus: you can sip on a glass of wine while you shop around or hang out by their cozy lounge area if you're heading to dinner at any of the nearby restaurants and feel like pre-gaming it. I really enjoyed touring the store and finding new wines to take home. We were pleasantly surprised by a new grape variety (for us) and took a bottle home.
We had a fantastic time, and our hosts were super nice and made for a fun wine tasting celebration. We shared the table with 14 other folks we did not know, and it turned into a casual wine and charcuterie party. Many were regulars and had attended other events at the shop. I can see why....
Read moreThe service was great. The night before, everything got rained out and flooded, which pushed everything back for our Saturday. I called and told them I wanted to cancel because we wouldn't make it to our 6 o clock appointment, they were very accommodating and said they could still take us when we were running late. We got there 6:45 (they close at 8) which was still good enough amount of time for us. And also shout out to Daniel because we came during the week of Chilled Red Wines and he knew what he was talking about when he was explaining to us about the wines. They accepted walk-ins, so we called ahead we were able to go within a half hour. The environment was extremely friendly, great selection of wines. The set up for the tasting was great. Four glasses of wine were placed in front of us. Each bottles orgin and flavors were explained in detail by our host. She was so knowledgeable and we felt like we understood each product well before beginning our tasting experience. The accompany charcuterie board was filled with delicious meats and cheeses of which we were also given some information about. We enjoyed every minute of it.
