Just had an odd experience here. I ordered the shrimp tacos and a steak chalupa around lunch time. When I called to order the person who answered did not speak any English. I’m not bothered at all by this but it was very difficult. I said tacos de camerones y chalupa asada, salsa roja. But also said it in English because I know my Spanish isn’t very good. She had no idea what I was saying. So I used google translate to say “I would like to order… and then repeated these two dishes” that finally seemed to work. When I went to pick up I repeated the dishes in best Spanish I could and she began writing it down as another order. It took about 5 minutes to explain I was the one who had already called. With that out of the way all I had to do was pay. The cost came to just over $30. I knew the chalupa was $8 and thought it odd that the shrimp tacos could cost $22. I tried to explain using google translate but it was impossible. I decided to just see when I got home, maybe I order more than one of those things. Nope, one chalupa that was delicious but would have been expensive even if $8 and three absolutely delicious shrimp tacos, some of the best I’ve had in Lynn and I’ve had a lot. But without rice or anything coming with it, over $30 seemed really steep even for good food. I checked their menu online and it does seem like they over charged about $10. The food is really good here but there are so many good places to get tacos in Lynn and usually is about half the cost. If they lowered prices and made ordering a little bit easier I would...
Read moreWhen this restaurant first opened they actually did make quality food I had a great experience at the beginning I had order tacos de birria and it tasted very authentic. But like 3 days ago I have placed an order online for Tacos de birria a soup de birria, and a steak quesadilla. None of these items tasted good and the only one that was barely passing with the quesadilla. My tacos and the soup literally just taste like boiled steak and water. The soup had absolutely no flavor it just tasted like they dumped extra water in it to cut corners saving money instead of actually giving me a product of quality. If I wanted water I would have ordered water on the side you know. I wanted soup, soup de birria, the worst part of this all is what I found in my Soup. I pulled out this long random piece of meat that was white I wondered why is there chicken in my soup? My mom looked at it closer tore it apart and she told me no that's not chicken, its the meat of the stomach of the cow. They put all kinds of random pieces of cow in the soup very disgusting. You should be honest actually about what you're putting in the soup before you actually give it to your customers. Yeah I'm never ordering here again, a complete rip-off and a waste of my $56.00. I wish I could have taken my money somewhere else and got in something that was worth my time. If you're too cheap to run a restaurant to give quality food don't...
Read moreI ordered takeout from this place for a fried tilapia plate. The balance was 15$. I signed the receipt for the exact amount, leaving the tip blank, and went on my way. The next day while look at my bank statement, I noticed they had charged me 19.64 total. I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager who confirmed the price along with letting me know he will give me a call regarding this when he finds out why I was charged the difference. I told him I know what I signed for and I think the woman gave herself a tip on the receipt after I left.
I never heard from him again despite reassuring me he will get back to me. The fact that it was only $4 wasn’t the issue, it was the principle and regardless of how small of an amount, it’s complete THEFT.
Be careful where you use your card people. I suggest you pay in cash so the lady at the counter doesn’t try to steal money out of your bank account.
I will NEVER spend my...
