Wendy's — Restaurant in Lynn

I've been going to this establishment for literally 25 years off and on....Food was fine....service was efficient enough....BUT....in that being said....Out of all the years I've been coming to this particular establishment......from a young adult back in 1999 to a middle aged man now, out of all those years, I don't think I've ever witnessed such misery and just lack of manners from staff as I've experienced now in today's staff. For example, a VERY SIMPLE transaction like passing your money over to the person at the first window and MYSELF saying " Thank you" and either getting NO RESPONSE from the staff member or just getting a " Ya" back with a half dirty look.....almost like I'M BOTHERING the staff member for going there and that the staff member actually has to interact with me PERIOD. Customer service should NEVER be like this and If I was the manager (I ran a Dunks for a Very long time) I WOULD NEVER, EVER have have this person interacting with the public and would 100% keeping this person to work out back doing food prep or something. I don't know if it's THIS generation of kids and young adults in general or what....because this isn't the only establishment with staff like this....just going through the motions....hating their job which in turn is showing with the interactions with customers....the only way I can say it.....be less " Ghetto". That's the best word I can think of that comes to mind. If you can't make eye contact with the customer and say a simple " Your Welcome" after an interaction or getting your order taken by someone who sounds like they wanna " Whip your @$$ for having the GALL to stop by and order food....THEN THEY SHOULDN'T BE INTERACTING WITH THE PUBLIC. I get it...it's a simple job at a fast food joint on the lower pay grade....but show your staff members to have a little pride IN WHATEVER THEY DO wether it's making a Wendy's meal or being an Architect. I went to Sonic for the first time last week....THAT was customer service. Polite....smiling...NOT sounding mad because they have to take your order.....Go stop by their drive thru......you'll see the difference.....I'd give Sonics Drive thru customer service experience a 9.5 out of 10.....This Wendy's on Boston Street in Lynn.....I'd give a 2 out of 10....Night and day compared...

Edit: going back to review again a year after my Last review, their hours say they are open until 4AM, but I have attempted to go between 3:35AM-3:45AM for higher paying doordash orders & apparently they have decided to close early. So, keep this in mind…. It looks like the posted hours that state they are open till 4AM is more of a suggestion for what time they close instead of actually having concrete hours. I totally understand people wanting to go home, but it’s very difficult for ppl who are doing doordash/Uber when you accept an order & drive all the way to a restaurant & have them be closed early. The drivers make NO MONEY for those type of random closures!

They are out of something just about everytime I go here. I drive for Doordash, and I have to order food from here for customers OFTEN! This Wendy’s is out of at least 1 thing everyday, and lately they have been closing early, (obviously it’s much slower now because of COVID-19) but it would make sense if they chose hours and stuck to those, instead of deciding to close at a different time day to day. The staff here are always nice tho, even when they are frustrated or annoyed. :-)

Also, ALWAYS check your bag before leaving the parking lot. Depending on who is at the window there is about a 50% chance you will get everything you paid for. (They are usually doing 5 things at once, so I see how the mistakes happen, and they are usually quick to fix...

I love Wendy’s but this one in Boston st are ridiculous this place runs by some teenage kids maybe they all go to high school most of them don’t know English and I went there and order spicy chicken sandwich and they gave me a beef sandwich or I don’t know what was that thing with lots of mustard and way too many pickle on it I went back to the counter to tell them this is not what I order and the girl was saying something in Spanish I have no idea what she was talking about but the other boy translated it and said this is a spicy chicken sandwich I am like chicken sandwich with no chicken on it like seriously with full of beef ridiculous whoever the manager or in charge you should hire mature adults employees and horrible service they don’t know what they doing and I also ordered salad the lettuce on the salad was smelling wired and old ugh...
