This a new restaurant in Lynn MA, I have seen a lot of postings for it, so figured id give it a try. I ordered a 6 piece honey mustard flavored wing, the corn salad, wonton mozzarella sticks and the Yas OG chicken sandwich. I am going to break down my review of each.
The wings: I will give these 4 stars. They were delicious, great flavor and the crunch was great, the only thing is, I wish they were hot, as in the temperature.
The Corn Salad: I will give this 3 stars. This is just corn with red and white onion and whatever sauce they use. The flavor of this is good, there is just too much onion for my liking. If you love onions and want things loaded with it, then this is for you! Less onion, I would be happier. But overall worth trying.
The Wonton Mozzarella Sticks: I will give these 3 stars. They were well, just that mozzarella cheese wrapped in a wonton wrap. I did like the switch from the standard battered mozzarella sticks. Again one of things that is better when hot. The sauce that came with it, was nothing out of this world, again different than your standard marinara sauce. Worth a try.
The OG Chicken sandwich: This I will give 4 stars. Keep in mind that this is NOT pop-eyes or flip the bird or Chic Fil A, which all have their own version and flavors. So if you get this DO NOT expect it to taste like the above mentioned places. It definitely has an Asian flare to it, the flavor is fantastic. The chicken was juicy while having a wonderful fried crunch, not soggy. Comes with mayo, pickles and lettuce. Perfect. Just enough! I would get this again but will also explore the other options they have...
Read moreFINALLY had the chance to go to YAS chicken after seeing all the hype, and let me tell you… IT LIVES UP TO IT. I had gotten the Mac Zaddy, Tenders with some Yasssssss Sauce, and parmesan fries.
The Mac Zaddy was a damn good sandwich, the chicken was tender and full of flavor, and the mac and cheese on top was delicious. I personally wish there was another scoop of mac and cheese on top since that added a nice change to the flavor. I think the move for this sandwich is to drizzle that delicious Yas sauce on top of the sandwich.
The tenders were solid, thiccc, and full of flavor. They had a nice crust to them and were complimented with the yas sauce (which is more or less a spicy Mayonnaise ketchup). The parm fries were decent, a little on the softer side but that may be due to sitting for a few mins.
Overall I would definitely consider going here if you’re in the area, it has a great selection of menu items, including Chicken sandwiches, Tenders, wings, and an array of sides.
Recommendation: Mac Zaddy with a side...
Read moreEhhhhh very middle of the road, it would be acceptable in a pinch but I'll never go out of my way to go here again, very mediocre. This place is hyped beyond belief. The chicken is not seasoned at all. Plain. Plain. PLAIN. Staff had a awful habit of giving me the total before I was done ordering, essentially cutting me off before I was done giving my order. The staff seemed preoccupied with something and uninterested in me or my order. The mac n cheese was a huge disappointment. Basically boxed Mac n cheese. Chicken and Waffles sandwich was a fried? Waffle, that tasted more like the frying oil that it did a waffle, chicken topped with unmelted yellow cheese. What a giant disappointment. I give this place 3 stars for their very delicious Honey mustard sauce. If they had given me more than half a serving I'd have been happier. But for a small dipping sauce cup to be half full for 6 huge tenders is borderline insulting. If you're going to half fill...
