loved this traditional style diner. It is the real deal. Authentic. The decor was charming. First Keep in mind that I am originally an East Coast girl. My family (grandparents) use to take me to diners from Philadelphia, Jersey and in New York. This brought back so many memories.
Secondly, this was about the cleanest place I've been to in ages. Everything looked so polished and sterile. As you know a traditional dinner like this is small and narrow. Even with their cramped quarters they had everything in placed and organized. You could see clear back into the kitchen where they were cooking. Spotless. I sat at the bar/counter to dine. There I could see how efficient the place ran. 2 ladies very nice ladies were there. One worked the bar and they other the table area. There was a young adult male doing dishes I presume. I could only see the dirty dishes going below the counter and his soapy wrist pulling out the clean ones. There were 2 cooks bringing out orders in about 10 -15 minutes tops. There was one man who was orchestrating it all. This I was the owner I found out later. I went to the bathroom; and it too was the cleanest one I think I have ever seen.
Lastly, the food was delicious and ample. Large amounts but not do much that you would waste it. I was there for breakfast and had the "Steak Stake". This is steak, eggs and pancakes. They had a variety of many things to choose from. Best of all it was very affordable. Great prices. I think my order, which included a large orange juice, came to $10.
Oh I forgot to mention they had a small gaming area (casino) tucked away and enclosed off in a corner. Everyone treated me pleasantly. I will definitely be goi4 back; and give my...

Thurs-sat you'll have the worst service. The curly haired, rude waitress with glasses and limp, gave the worst service today ever! Had to wave her down for coffee refills 3 times all the while she huffed out her breath. As if I'm bothering her. She kept giving a rude attitude like she didn't wanna wait on us. Is it because of our color? But that's not what made me mad. What pissed me off, was her open political outbursts as 2 patrons came in the restaurant and she converst with them. She needs to keep her own thoughts and words to herself. Nobody needs to know, she's homophobic as she felt the need to happily shout out to her 2 patrons "trans can't be in girls sports, isn't that great!" And the talk went on loudly. Nobody needs to hear how she feels, whilst having their meals. She's speaking outloud ignorently to these men whom were speaking of ice whilst again, looking at me and my husband. She needs to go. Hate doesn't belong in this...
Read moreCame this morning July 20th with my family because we like coming here. I figured let me take my daughter out for breakfast for her birthday. Today went bad due to the service here. We walked in and the waitress was a bit rude and because tables were full we waited patiently by the door for a good while. Once one table cleared we went by it so we weren't standing in the way by the door. The waitress yells out that table needs to be cleaned! Obviously we know that we just didn’t want to stand in the way by the door. She comes to clean the table behind us instead of cleaning the one we were going to sit at and she didn’t acknowledge us. All 4 of us ended up walking out to go somewhere else! I will never come back I’m disappointed. She needs to change her attitude towards people. I know some people have bad days but you’re working and it’s just wrong to not acknowledge your customers!...
