TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!! I give this place 1 star for lack of professionalism. I placed a phone order for a chocolate birthday cake to be picked up July 5. I received a white dough birthday cake instead. I emailed the bakery with my concern hoping to resolve the issue. No response. I waited a few days and called the bakery and was told they had seen my email and were waiting for the manager Esther to get back from vacation so she can call me back with a resolution. It’s July 29 and No Response. This is very disappointing that they treat their customers this way. The fact that they do not want to recognize their mistake with my order and don’t even care that they messed up my cake order is so unprofessional and bad for business. I used to come in there every other morning for donuts. I haven’t been there since. I also order all my cakes from there for the past 3 years and will not be returning and you should either. Try to purchase a two tier cake. Fill out the paperwork that I still had to provide further information. Initially, when I spoke to the person that answered the phone on Monday i was told by her they needed an answer by wednesday evening or the latest early thursday morning. So I called thursday morning at 7:45 in the morning to see if I can make a payment over the phone and finish providing the information needed. The person that answered the phone told me that they do not make payments over the phone.So I told her clearly that I will be there in the afternoon to make the payment for the cake. I went in there at about 4:30. In the afternoon and was rudely told that they could not process the order anymore that they had to ask. I wasted my time in going there and or calling in the morning. I will not be doing business here again due to poor communication and bad customer service. There was no need for this employee to give me attitude and or to wobble her head at me. When I moved to Summit we found this bakery. Remember nearly 30 years Dunkin donuts being good. Well 30 years ago I stopped eating donuts. Nothing in 30 miles around was good anymore. That was until we found this place. The quality is top of the line donuts. Now we never had anything else. But the donuts are worth the price. We would buy their donuts and share with with family, at my husbands work and so on. Not one person had bad to say. Now lets use our brains, donuts are a treat. Not for everyday food. They are high calorie and high carbs. Please be responsible with eating them or allowing kids to eat them. With that said. This place should be on the map in Illinois for their donuts. High quality and well priced. I can't say anything for their other items, because I never had it. Also, their workers in the store have always been super kind. No public restrooms.
