This is my first time eating at this place which has been here now for over a year. The food is very good. The service was very good. But they have a copy of a piece of paper next to the register that says typical like every place. Nowadays they charge $3.99 for using your card. But right below it it says for those paid with cash they offer an immediate 3.99 discount for paid with cash. Now. I asked the cashier about this which none of them knew what I was talking about. But she said yes. She gave me the discount. So when I looked on the receipt there is no discount and I asked again this time she came from around the counter and read it and said no. It says only if you're using card. And I told her if you bother reading right below it. There's two more sentences that say for customers paid with cash and immediate 3.99% discount is given. And she said oh no we don't do that. We don't give discounts. So I told her well it says right there so you should be giving me a discount. Tell her you need to take that down or somebody's going to come in here and sue you guys over this. I'm not going to make a big deal about it right now. But I won't be back because of that. It says you offer a discount and then you tell your employees not to give customers the discount. While I was there, three other people paid with cash and because the majority of them are Mexican immigrants more than likely they bother not to read stuff like this. I unfortunately OCD style have to read everything by the register. I could complain and I actually should but I'm not going to. It seems as though they're not sure of what that paper says. They just need to take it off of there. That's like a sale being offered at the store when you go to pay for it. It's not on sale. Other than that, as I said the food was pretty good. And the service was very good. I must say after looking at my bill tax was only 1 dollar. Which is amazing for Crook ( cook) county LOL at the bottom it asked what dishes I would recommend. Since this is my first time eating here, I only had the tamales the only option that's not on the The multiple choice. And this is a tamale restaurant. They have other dishes but the place has the work time on it in its title. For these Google reviews I suggest that Google put in tamales. Cuz that's what I...
Read moreThe people who work here have no idea what they are doing or how to go about customer issues. I placed a pick up order over uber eats on Saturday morning 11/16 for pick up that morning for a party that I had that afternoon. I placed the order for 1 dozen pork red tamales and 1 dozen chicken green tamales early so that I would be sure I had my food and it wouldn’t be sold out. When I got home, I seen I was given 2 dozen of red tamales and immediately called the restaurant. When I called the person who answered did not understand me and another person took over. When I explained my issue the only answer I was given was “we can’t do anything about it. You have to come in tomorrow morning because we didn’t handle your order.” Since I placed my order in the morning and I called a few hours later realizing I had received the wrong order. I asked “so am I supposed to just leave the tamales you guys gave me today until tomorrow when you’re telling me to come in?” I got the same answer “we can’t do anything about it.” I then tried placing another order over uber eats for Thursday 11/21 for a work potluck and I realized that they do not have a price for the dozen chicken tamales option, it just comes out as $0.00. I called about that issue, when I called the phone was picked up but nobody said hello or answered when I said hello multiple times, nor did anybody ask me to hold please. All I was hearing was background noise of them handling other customers orders. I was not asked to hold for a few minutes or anything, just talking to myself confused as to why they answered and didn’t say anything. As a business there should always be a solution to problems no matter what time the problem takes place or who handled the order. You DO NOT tell your customers that there is nothing you can do. Very unprofessional, rude, & unwelcoming. It’s very sad to say because their food and tamales...
Read moreI regret to inform you that the establishment's service and food quality have significantly declined since its initial opening. Despite multiple opportunities, they have consistently failed to meet customer expectations.
Today, I attempted to place a phone order to avoid the anticipated in-person rush, but unfortunately, my phone calls went unanswered. Subsequently, we visited the establishment in person, only to find that there was only one employee available to take and fulfill orders. This resulted in an extended wait time as each customer had to wait for the completion of the preceding order.
While I understand that extenuating circumstances can occur, it is concerning that this establishment continues to struggle with meeting demand and providing adequate service.
Furthermore, upon receiving our order of two dozen tamales (one green and one red), we were deeply disappointed to find that some of them were not fully cooked. They were still squishy and doughy, indicating a lack of proper preparation. This is not the first time we have encountered this issue, which is unacceptable and raises concerns about the establishment's food safety standards.
It is regrettable that despite being in business for an extended period, the establishment has not taken steps to address these recurring issues and improve their operations.
I must emphasize that while dining at the restaurant may provide better service and food quality, the overall experience remains...
