Pure Green - Juice Bar Macomb — Restaurant in Macomb Township

Pure Green is my most preferred source of nutrition. I am a frequent customer at 3 of your four local locations. Unfortunately today, while ordering my favorite smoothie at the Macomb location, my experience was much different. I was totally grossed out watching the staff sift through the YELLOW kale with black slimby leaves stuck to the side of the container with a date marked 7.15. Today is 7.17, and being that kale is green, I asked if the kale was expired based on their hope to make the smoothie I ordered, possibly hoping I wouldn't notice the lack of quality and freshness. They kindly offered to make a new smoothie and said they thought they had more in the back, however, no one should have ever felt that was okay to serve what I saw in that container. This is a store that specializes in fresh product and you chose to serve something less than that. My only thought was, what would the health department say? Again, the girls were friendly, however, the quality of the product today was disgusting. I am always willing to pay for the smoothies and pay extra for better nutrition by adding kale. Sometimes, I've oaid 16.00 for one smoothie. PLEASE do better. If your staff has to question the quality, you just shouldn't serve it, as this may also pose a serious health risk. More like Pure Trash. I came in yesterday morning an ordered three Acai Bowls, a juice and Avocado Toast. First of all it was slow service the two girls behind the counter got my order wrong and I had to tell them to change their gloves while making my food because she just handled money at the cash register. After waiting so long the girls working behind the counter were going back and fourth on what I ordered and one of the girls made a mistake. I told them whatever I'll just take the Acai bowl with the extra almond butter. While eating my Acai bowl which lack of flavor and berries tasting like mush. I found long blonde hairs in my bowl. I called and explained to them what happened and I was told the manager would give me a call back. I have yet to receive a call back. This place is over priced with healthy and organic plastered all over it. NOT WORTH IT I should've went next door...

I was fortunate enough to make it in at a time I was the only person in the store and I got personal instruction to the juices. I purchased four juices and was also given a taste of a couple others. I am not usually a huge fan of pressed juices with ginger or tumeric (I feel they are overpowering) but the juices I sampled were fantastic! I ordered the Pure Green Acai bowl (Base: Acai, spiralina, banana, vanilla almond milk. Toppings: Blueberries, banana, Hemp granola). He also added some shredded coconut and almond slivers. This was my first acai bowl and it was incredible! The toppings were incredibly fresh and the hemp granola was so good. I truly felt good and energized after eating it. The store itself has a clean and open field to it with lots of natural light. It would be a great place to stop by for your morning pick me up to get you ready to...
