McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in Macomb

Today is May 23rd, 2020. Quality has declined. I just ordered a Southwest avocado chicken salad, and I'm very disappointed. Description says that there are corn, black beans, tomatoes, onions, cheddar cheese, avocado, and tortilla strips. What I got was a bunch of lettuce, a little bit of chicken, a little bit of cheese, maybe a few corn kernels. A little bit of avocado, no beans, and massive pieces of onion that weren't even chopped. This is the second time in about two months that I have received a sub par salad. The other botched order was a grilled chicken salad I ordered that was supposed to include bacon. No bacon, and no tomatoes. The manager was good enough to give me a free salad as an apology, but the fact that this is continuing to happen suggests to me that they're not really paying close attention, or there are other management or personnel issues. Really disappointed.

Prior post, added about 11 months ago: quality is pretty consistently good. I have had a couple of occasions where there were mistakes in my order. My friend also had less meat on her sandwich than I did. In all of these cases, they were very apologetic and courteous, and immediately replaced our order or give us...

Me and my Fiancé had order there last night, it was not good at all, but when I talked with the general manager this morning he was very nice and understanding. When it comes to fast food everything can be a hit or a miss. So when I talked with him and he was able to give us a what we needed , it showed how much they value their customers. Not only that the people are very nice there I love this place just had a bad experience which can happen to a lot of food places. So with the GM being understanding and reasonable it makes me want to go back, when I wasn’t feeling like that last night. I appreciate everything you guys do and how much customer service you guys show. Thank you for your hard work. This would not of been a nice review if it was for their General Manger. I ordered a baked potato with sour cream butter and bacon and green onions. They gave me a baked potato that was overdone. The potato peel was about a quarter inch burnt on the inside and a scooped-out have two potato through on chunks of red onion and two slices of bacon. No butter but the iced tea was good... Of course I go there because we have a limited selection here in Macomb Illinois. Today I ordered a cup of roasted vegetable soup and I got more like 3/4 of a cup. Can't remember the sandwich but I think it was turkey on ciabatta I got to say though the tea is delicious, the staff is a little young and they definitely need more training and customer service.
