After driving 13+ hours with my husband, we decided to stop and rest for the night. The only thing we wanted was some FOOD, we called in our order at about 9:45 PM. I placed my order and was even talked into a promotion they were running, I was told our food would arrive in 35-40 minutes. At 10:45 with my eyes barely open and my stomach growling I finally called to ask about my order, I was told that they had a large event at the local university that they had to tend to but that our food was on it’s way now and we were being comped 50% of our order, okay, great so I wait eagerly to finally eat something and more time passes...at 11:20 I call again because I am exhausted and I no longer care to wait for some food. I was put on hold for what felt like a while and was told by a manager that our food sat out so long that they had to remake it, okay, and now our new food is just sitting and waiting for a driver. The manager once again told me about the 300+ pizzas they had to make for the university, that apparently took precedence. She explained that my order was caught in the middle of this large order and seemed to insinuate that it was simply forgotten among the chaos. I simply asked that they canceled my order and went to sleep. It’s unfortunate, because I was still willing to wait for something because my husband and I were SO HUNGRY, we had driven so many hours and were ready to settle down. But it appeared by the managers tone that she wasn’t all that sorry, she was just glad to be rid of our order, one less thing for her to worry about I guess. Order at your own risk, your order might be...
Read morePlaced my order at 11:35. Arrived to the drive thru at 11:55. The sign at the drive thru said that the bell was broken and to call for service. I called, spoke to a lady after being on hold for 4 minutes, and then proceeded to wait another 15 minutes longer before a man finally came to the window, who told me that my order was in the oven.
I was surprised about this and told the man that I had placed my order well over 30 minutes prior. He then proceeded to immediately catch an attitude with me, telling me that there are only two people working and that I don’t need to act so uptight about my order. I responded to this by canceling my order, which set him off even more. He replied with a condescending remark about this not being McDonalds or Burger King and that it takes longer to receive my food.
I understand that things are tough when being understaffed, but that’s not my fault and no customer should be spoken to the way I was. As someone who worked in customer service for over 10 years, I would’ve likely been fired for talking to a customer like that.
Marco’s has really good food and the Riverside Dr. location is very convenient to my house, but I have zero plans to return to this...
Read moreSo my husband and I are currently out on date night. We had plans on going somewhere else but I was able to convince him that we should try Marcos. I keep seeing commercials and they are popping up everywhere. My husband did not want to go b/c of what he heard from friends. If I had only known how right they were. When you walk in no one greets you. There is merely a sign that says seat yourself. I am ok with that, except for the fact that there was barely any place to sit. All except for one table was dirty. There are plenty of people standing around behind the counter. But no one is bussing tables. There were no menus at the one table that was clean. Since this was my husband and my first time, we sat there for 5 minutes waiting to be served. We did not know that we were suppose to go to the counter to order. I wish we had not gone to the counter, I would not have seen their health inspections score of an 88. I am not posting this to tell people not to go to Marco's. I really just want Marco's to step up their game. I will say that the...
