**8 years later, and I still do not patronize this establishment. My girlfriend ordered a drink that had something floating in it. The waitress, at that time, was messing with her ponytail and rubbing her nose while taking orders - no handwashing to be sure. When we asked for my girlfriend's drink to be replaced, we were told "no" because she had "already drank some of it." In what world should anyone have to inspect a drink before taking a sip? I was outraged and called for the manager to explain and politely asked for a replacement or our money back. They agreed to neither. I am still telling everyone I know not to patronize the Margaritas at Mercer Village. The response from the owner 4 years ago is a reminder that things have been terrible for years and are not going to change. If that had happened in 2020, would the owner have still said, "LOL"? Or, would there have been an apology? This place is awful.-.
This was my first visit. If I could rate this restaurant with negative stars, I would. The management is rude and racist. It is apparent that they have no desire to treat all customers with respect - regardless of race, color or creed.
The RESPONSE from the "owner" says it all. Very immature and insensitive! I will be telling all of my friends to read this post and not give this place...
Read moreThe food tastes very bland and barely seasoned I could be jaded because I normally eat at authentic Mexican restaurants that have lots of flavors. IMO opinion you should at least taste cumin in a basic beef taco My chicken enchilada was filled with a generous portion. Of dry and bland chicken. When I came to pick up my order they told me that I was at the wrong location It wasnt until I expressed my frustration to the manager that they "found" my order by looking it up in the terminal. It wasn't until I got loid that they decided to check the computer and voila! They now see my order! He gave me a discount but seeing as how I was not made to feel welcome when I arrived (waitress looked me up and down distastefully...I gues she didnt like my hoodie and jeans?) as I saw other customers getting smiles from staff but no one smiled for me. No one took me seriously until I raised my voice and other customers began looking. Now I see why no one else dining in there...
Read moreThis is a most excellent restaurant in Mercer University's humble little village next to campus. I was pleasantly surprised to find authentic Mexican cuisine with a nod to the less adventurous among us (flour tortillas, lettuce and cheese as an option for tacos), and an almost Yucatan flair in their standard offerings. The fish tacos had a delightful Baja sauce with mangoes and cooked corn tortillas far tastier and more durable than the typical steamed store-bought fare I usually get at Atlanta restaurants. My wife had a bowl that she was able to customize with vegan options. And my daughter had a standard quesadilla. NOT A CRUMB WAS LEFT ON ANY PLATE. My wife also enjoyed her margarita, and the draft Corona was a nice touch. This is a family-owned place, and I urge anyone who enjoys a good meal and great Mexican food to patronize this...
