Now before I give my review, you should know... I'm an absolute snob when it comes to wings. In fact, rarely do I ever eat wings out, I usually get them to go and finish cooking them at home because they're never well done enough for me but when I heard that they have SMOKED WINGS, that was my calling. The owner (Joe) greeted us warmly and began to go over the menu. I immediately told him I'm here for the smoked wings! They have so many sauce options! I decided on the "hot" and the special sauce they have which is "bourbon peach". We also ordered the Focaccia Cheese Bread and the Bear-BQ-Beast Pizza.
Some things to note... the marinara sauce that comes with the cheese bread is house made and it is DEFINITELY one of the best I've ever tasted.
The wings and the meat on the pizza is house smoked. (I'm literally looking at their smoker as I'm writing this review)
The Wings... Listen... these wings took me to a whole other level. They were incredible. So much flavor. So perfectly cooked. That Bourbon Peach Sauce was top notch. If you're craving wings, you've got to go to Mercer Village Pizza.
The Pizza... All the dough is house made and it's obvious! I felt like I was back in Italy because it was the perfect consistency of chewy and had authentic flavors. Don't even get me started on the topping! All fresh, all good!
In Summary... $7 Wings, $2 PBR, $14 Gourmet Pizza and $8 Cinnamon Rolls... this is a NO BRAINER. This is a "must go" for a chill night out in Macon without...
Read moreI truly cannot recommend this place enough. We were driving through Macon on a loooong road trip and we were tired and hungry! We called to order our pizzas, because for some reason, it wouldnt let us order gluten free on the app! (Not a big deal though. Super easy to call and the person we talked to when we got there was so friendly!)
When we entered, everyone was so friendly and nice. They asked us about our trip. I have Celiac, and when I said I was the one who ordered the gluten free pizza, and I was told that my pizza would be unlike any gluten free pizza I’ve ever had. He said it won’t taste like cardboard. And it was FABULOUS! Probably the best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had. For those concerned, they take gluten free and cross contamination incredibly seriously.
The rest of my family is not gluten free, but they also really enjoyed their meals. Additionally, out of nothing more than the kindness of their hearts, they gave us a few free ribs to try! (Which were also AMAZING! And our family knows good ribs).
Truly, I recommend that everyone come and try this place. I will certainly be back, even if I have to go out of my way....
Read moreTruly such a hidden gem in Macon. The owner truly goes out of his way to make all of the menu items unique and made fresh to order (including the sandwich bread!!). This is my 2nd time eating here and it is quickly becoming a new favorite. Some of the best food I’ve had in a while, plus an incredibly friendly staff which makes the experience even better. 10/10 recommend.
What I ordered-
•Lemonyaki Wings (must try! Such a unique flavor combination of teriyaki and lemon pepper. The wings are smoked which add a great tenderness and flavor)
•Peachy-keen pizza (amazing for summertime. Light and refreshing. Subtle sweetness and amazing flavor profile all around. One of the best pizzas I’ve had and such an original combination of ingredients. Nothing like I’ve ever had)
•Chicken Parm Sandwich (wow. Just wow. The bread was made fresh to order and unreal. A nice garlicky, cheesy crust that balances perfectly with the fried chicken& marinara. The BEST sandwich I’ve ever had.)
•Cinnamon rolls (made from the pizza crust. So soft and full of flavor. Light too!)
If you haven’t made your way over to MVP, put that on your summer bucket list. It will...
