Wendy's — Restaurant in Macon

Unfortunately, this is not the first bad experience at the location, the 1st time we were told at the drive-thru that they weren't serving food at that time, but employees were inside and the lights were on... but we tried to give them a second chance. My husband extremely dislikes tomatoes, and specifically ordered NO Tomatoes on his burger, repeating 3 different times that he didn't want tomatoes, going as far as asking "& you did make sure that it didn't have tomatoes on it, right?" And he was assured at the drive-thru that there were no tomatoes to be placed on his burger. My son wanted chicken nuggets and when they asked what type of dipping sauce my husband requested BBQ. I wanted a salad, so lastly my husband asked for a salad. At that time he was interupted and told there wasn't any dressing. He asked (just to make sure he hadn't heard incorrectly) "there isn't any dressing of any sorts?" The lady rudely responded, "Ain't that what I said?!?" So, we then ordered another order of chicken nuggets, also when asked the dipping sauce- requested BBQ sauce. When we got our food we requested ketchup at the time the window opened and handed the man the card. Used the drive-through at Wendy's around 8 p.m. Oct. 19, 2023, on Hartley Bridge Road. Nothing like having your order shoved to you through the window of a fast-food restaurant and the employee fails to speak, not asking if you need condiments or even a hello or thankyou before closing the window. The week prior my wife and I were served at this restaurant by two employees getting stoned in the parking lot before their shift. There is something about stoned, rude employees preparing my food that makes enjoying a meal difficult. My wife, mother, mother-in-law, friends and I have decided to never dine again at this location. I believe that is around 7500G annually another restaurant will get instead of Wendy's. We have appreciated the convenience of this location since its opening but have seen a decline over the years. It is disgusting to envision what these rude, stoned deer-in-the-headlight employees may be doing to my food. Today was my second negative experience at this Wendy's in the past month. Today I placed a mobile order on the Wendy's app and specifically put that I wanted to pick it up in the drive-thru. That option was available. When I went through the drive-thru she told me that I would have to come inside in the rain to pick up my order. I canceled the order and called Wendy's corporate. Because this is a franchise location, they can make their own rules about some things. However, if they are not going to allow drive through pick up of mobile orders then it should not be an option in the app. What if I had not only been avoiding the rain but actually been physically unable to go inside a store and pick up my order? I have family members and friends who have disabilities who use the mobile order through the drive-thru option for this reason.
