Domino's Pizza — Restaurant in Madeira

Goodness, I don’t even know where to start. I typically only write reviews when I am absolutely blown away by something in a positive light. We live locally and consider pizza night a special treat. We have ordered twice from this domino’s and have been highly disappointed both times. The first time we ordered we ordered a traditional crust, a thin crust and chicken wings. Our thin crust pizza was completely burnt with only a few pieces being edible. We never received our chicken wings and were given cinnamon twist instead. I did not make a formal complaint about it, as we typically roll with the punches. I mean I realize that things happen. The second time we ordered a traditional crust as well as tried their pan crust and soda. The traditional crust was fine however the pan crust was completely undercooked and Raw dough on the inside. I called asking if they could send another pizza explaining that it was completely raw. I was told that they could not as they were incredibly busy and it would take 2+ hours for another pizza to get here. The young man on the phone who happened to be the manager said that he would make it right by refunding my entire order. When I told him that I paid with cash he asked if I could come into the store to get my refund. I told him that I could not make it in and that I would be going in on Friday or Saturday morning. He assured me that it wouldn’t be a problem to ask to speak to Kayla and I would be refunded. Saturday, when I went to the store I was met with who I presume is Kayla as she introduced herself as the GM. Her face alone told me that she had no clue what I was talking about. She seemed to be quite skeptical of the events that took place. After explaining the entire situation and giving her all the necessary information she told me that he should’ve never said that. She said that this one time she could do a refund but never again. At that time she simply gave me a refund for the one raw pizza $6 .This was about $20 short from the refund that I was told I was receiving. When I reiterated this to her she stated back again “he should’ve never said that.” At this point I told her politely, that was not my problem however, I was told one thing and she was not honoring it. This is bad business. The two times that I have ordered I have not received what I paid for. I’d also like to point out that no matter what I was still paying a delivery fee and a tip both times. I was so turned off by the way that this GM handled the situation. The customer service… What customer service? A complete joke. At the end of the day, I truly don’t care about the $20 that I was told I would receive in refunding my order… It’s more about the principle of it. How I was spoken to… just disgusting. I know one thing for sure, Mios, larozzas, dewys would never ever allow...

It needs to be said that this Dominos does way better at service than other local pizza places. I'm not saying all dominos,but this one is fast and they make good food. I have ordered many times before and very few times were there small issues; that they corrected rapidly. I don't feel the current rating reflects it. As they service a neighborhood were they expect sauces with stuff and freak out over a missing sauce or dip.... stuff like them not bringing silverware.??? Really silverware for pizza But I digress and must say they make a good product fast. I like other pizza places a lil more BUT the local Larosa's in Mariemont Sucks on quality and takes forever to deliver. The local Papa John's is mediocre on quality, but the delivery is so slow that your pizza is cold not warm room temp cold...and sometimes soggy if it cools in the delivery bag long enough. The local pizza hut has alright quality but delivery takes a while but atleast its hot still.

DOMINOS in Madeira does it right so when I want a pizza in a timely manner I order them. This review comes after my order where they delivered late, but its because they where out of a 16"box and then gave me another item.

BUT wait they didn't just let my food set there to get cold while they made the other item. No they sent fresh made food that was so hot the stuffed cheesy bread was too hot to touch ....lmao it was delicious and buttery too. I'm not saying they're perfect, but they really are more consistent and dependable than other...

I feel bad rating this Dominos so low but I had a bad experience and no one cared to help resolve it. I placed my order at 6:38 pm and at 6:44 pm (according to the pizza tracker) my food was made. An hour later I called to see what was happening and talked to a young kid. I told him I figured they were really busy but they weren’t planning on delivering hour old food assuming they would deliver it right then. He said they would not remake it and basically if I wanted my order I’d have to come and get it. I couldn’t do that as my husband and I were out and I was ordering for our kids and babysitter. I asked to talk to the manager and he said they were too busy. I cancelled my order and when I went back to the website to review them online it said I could only review after the food had been delivered. So I could t let anyone know at the store about the problem. No sense in calling the store since the manager was too busy and the young employee was pretty rude. Had to order Larosas, as they are good on getting deliveries out quick even though my kids are...
