I've not felt strong enough to commit this to writing but I was particularly hungry this morning and particularly forgetful of the fact that any sandwich that I've purchased here has a distinct taste to it - God only knows what the source is but compared to my "home" DD (this is my "work" DD the difference is night and day. I usually stick to donuts or bagels to avoid this, as it seems to only be in things that are wrapped up, or possibly heated. I have not done a rigid scientific analysis here. Sometimes I forget though, and order a hot sandwich only to regret it later. If I had to give the extra flavor a descriptive word, I'd call it "bleachy". I guess it would be comparable to eating a sandwich in a chlorinated pool and accidentally getting pool water in your mouth at the same time.
The staff is awesome, everything else is great there, but there is just something off with those particular menu items. If other DD places had the same thing going on I'd just chalk it up to 'that's just the way it is' but I've only encountered it here. And it's been this way for at least the past year. Maybe it's an over-zealous disinfecting policy of the paper wrappers are stored next to the bleach, but if you don't believe me, try it, then compare with another DD. I haven't gotten sick or anything but it is dis-concerning because I can't fathom why it should...
Read moreThe workers need more alertness. I came in to order donuts and found flies moving around the donuts. I was too grossed out to even order. I did order but they misheard every one of them, after correcting the 3rd one out of a half dozen donuts, I gave up. I didn't even care as long as they didn't pick one close to the flies. My favorite donuts were not even there. When I asked if they will make them today, they told me no. Their Latte tasted more like ameracano I think they need to re-train the difference between each drinks. There is a reason why each drink has different names eventhough they use the exact same ingredients. The price is a bit in the higher side. The only reason I gave it another star is because the easy access on the route.
Update: After receiving my order, it was all wrong. My hot latte was lukewarm. I asked for any other type of milk as long as it's not dairy, but guess what, they made it with whole milk. I was looking at it being made but wasn't sure if it was mine or a drive through order, it was mine. I also asked for iced coffee but got hot black coffee, not sure if they misheard it. The only bright side was the egg and cheese croissant but that too was received without cheese. But hey, at least it...
Read more, Message to cooperate. You're 12 and dequindre store used to be amazing. I don't know if it's independently owned but they are giving you a bad rep. Their donut selection as redused by half. They used to make French crullers dipped in chocolate. They don't have that anymore. So I asked if I could get them to dip their normal ones in chocolate they refused like this is such a big task. I'm a general manager at home Depot and let me just say. Their customer service is horrible. We strive to do anything in making our customers happy and wanting to come back. Dipping a donut in chocolate is keeping a life long customer from not coming back. I've never been to Tom Hortons, Starbucks, bugbys or any other cooperation like that. Because I love Dunkin donuts. But after this last visit. I guess that's what I have to resort to. Also. I got a chocolate Kreme donuts. I get home with no chocolate in the middle. Just a solid powdered donut. This is why the other corporations are...
