Wow! The food was so amazing that even my 3 young "picky eater" kids absolutely loved it! Our experience here was one of: Oh Heck Yeah! We'll be back here again, even if it is a 40 minute drive! Which was very unexpected.
It is rare for me to give food praise beyond the generic "It was good, no complaints", but to say that about Little Saigon's would be an extreme understatement. It was amazing in every sense of the word. I love to cook, and this one of those even rarer times when I can say "I don't think I could have done it any better!"
I'm not skinny, nor "fluffy" either, but I can pack in the food, and I ate until I was full, then ate some more, and still had plenty of leftovers, so when other reviewers say portions are huge compared to what you'd expect, they're huge even by U.S. standards.
If you're not familiar with Vietnamese food, or pronunciations, don't worry; I wasn't at all before today, and no trouble ordering from the menu... even if it was bit personally embarrassing not being able even attempt at pronouncing anything and having to order everything by number. The staff was very willing to answer any questions about any of the options we were curious about. Additionally, when they brought the food out it was by number rather than name.
I have no frame of reference for Vietnamese food quality other than Pho I've made myself, but everything was flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The Pho was right on par with the best I've ever made from scratch (which took days by the way). Judging by the amount of seemingly Vietnamese people eating here, I'd have to imagine this place is top notch based on their standards and points of reference as well.
The staff was polite, helpful, attentive, and several even made "If you liked that you should try" recommendations without solicitation, which was a nice extra effort I've seldomly seen from other restaurants, and showed me just how much even the staff likes the food.
For drinks we each got a "shake", including Lychee and Taro, which can be overpowering flavors many times. To my surprise, each drink was perfectly flavored.
I could go on and on into details about every little aspect, but I'd just be repeating same "Soooo Pho-kin' great" sentiment over and over again...
So, in summary if you're looking for something different than what you may be used to, or just a really good Vietnamese place that focuses on the food vs gimmicky decor/location, you can't go wrong with...

I’m writing this review with a heavy heart and deep concern for the way this restaurant handled a serious food allergy situation that resulted in my best friend being rushed to the emergency room.
When placing the order, I made it very clear to the cashier that I/we have a severe peanut allergy. I specifically asked about the fried rice I was ordering and was told that it was not cooked with peanuts or peanut oil. Despite that reassurance, I asked the cashier to please still notify the chef about the allergy so that extra care could be taken to avoid cross contamination. It was obvious that this message was not relayed to the chef.
Less than an hour after eating, my best friend went into full anaphylactic shock. She had to be hospitalized. This wasn’t a mild reaction, it was a life-threatening medical emergency. She could have died.
We dine at Thai restaurants frequently and understand that peanuts are commonly used in Thai cuisine. That’s why we always communicate our allergies clearly and have never had an incident like this. Why? Because other restaurants take it seriously. Unfortunately, that was not the case here.
To make matters worse, when I called the restaurant to inform them of what happened, the woman who answered didn’t even offer an apology. There was no concern, no compassion, no effort to understand what went wrong or to reassure us that changes would be made.
This should never have happened. Staff need to be thoroughly trained on how to handle food allergies, especially when a customer has stated the severity multiple times. Cross-contamination is dangerous, and in this case, it almost cost someone their life.
I hope this review serves as a wake-up call for the management and staff. Food allergies are not a preference, they are a medical condition that can have fatal consequences if not taken seriously.
To say that we won't return here again is an understatement. This review is just to serve as a warning to...
Read moreMy family and I came here to grab some pho a couple of days ago. I'm moving the sliced beef in the water with my Chapstick and I realize that it's not cooking so I stick my finger in the bowl to test the temperature (I know right, gross) I found a waitress and told her that my pho was cold she said no problem and took the pho back to the kitchen. The photo came back and as I go to scatter the noodles, you know like you do to get it all spread out into the bowl I find myself looking at a bowl of white goo. what they must've done was basically take the whole bowl back throw it in the pot and then heat it all up, the problem with that is that I had ordered tendon and that tendon melted into the soup. I was in a rush that night and decided to go out only because we were getting pho and it was quick (not the case so far) so I told my family I'm just gonna grab something on the way home I need to go and sleep. I told the waitress I was OK and then I left. Here's where the horrible customer service comes in! I left there and didn't think of writing a review or anything but then I get a call from my family afterwards saying the owner the guy with the tattoos saying some rude things out loud to where my family could hear (I guess they didn't like my response to their bad service lol) at this point my family was done eating they asked for the check the check came and it included my pho as well (The perfect cherry on top of that not so perfect pho) seriously though outside of this experience I don't go to this place at all been there a handful of times it was never good. I will be leaving some reviews on those pho places you should try! take...
