Everything was amazing here! It has got to be my family’s favorite spot now especially since there are halal options too. The food was very flavorful and fresh, perfect spice levels too. My favorite dishes had to be the spicy dumpling noodle bowl (not pictured), shrimp rangoon and poke sushi bowls (new cali bowl previously from Sushi Coup), and the pad se eew.
Wait time could be a bit better because we got a lot of our small and main dishes one or two at a time but it is understandable since we were a pretty big party and we ordered a lot of food.
We started with the shrimp and crab rangoons, chicken dumplings/wontons, and tom yum. We ordered traditional, basil, and curry fried rice (chicken, beef, shrimp, and mixed seafood), udon noodles I don’t recall the name of, beef pad se eew, poke bowls, and my absolute favorite the spicy dumpling noodle bowl (mixed seafood) which was red curry sauce based. I think the chicken traditional fried rice and beef pad se eew dishes were our most liked for the family.
Hoping they bring back the sushi sandos and have thai mango sticky rice sometime on their menu because that will make everything perfect that this place needs :)
Personally had an awful experience after being a regular customer for years at another halal thai place nearby due to new management and recently poor food quality (H* B** Thai) and was super disappointed that they rudely accused my family of scamming them when we had proof of everything that went wrong. They even reported and tried to take down my review after several kind requests to fix the issues so I never went back.
So glad this place opened up as a halal option in the neighborhood. Hospitality and cleanliness was 10/10. Will be...
Read moreLet me start by saying, as someone who’s Asian and has grown up eating authentic Thai food, I’ve always struggled to find restaurant dishes that truly hit the mark. Most places just don’t compare to the flavors I know and love.
But then I saw a particular soup on the menu—one my grandmother used to make for me about 15 years ago. It had all the same ingredients she used, and I couldn’t resist giving it a try.
I ordered the SP1 - Tom Yum Chicken, and as soon as the bowl was placed in front of me, the sweet and spicy aroma hit me. My senses told me I was in for something special, and I was right. From the first taste, it was like being transported back 15 years—standing in my grandmother’s kitchen, watching her cook as us kids impatiently waited for the meal.
It was absolutely amazing. For a moment, I even thought about walking into the kitchen to check if she was somehow there!
A little tip: order a side of white rice and pour some of the soup’s broth over it. It’s a simple touch, but it’s so good.
I also tried the drunken noodles, which came out fresh, steamy, and delicious—just as they should be.
Overall, this place has won me over, and I’ll definitely be coming back—especially for that...
Read moreI can’t say enough good things about Urban Halal Thai! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and a modern, inviting ambiance. It’s not easy to find authentic Thai cuisine that’s fully halal (HAFSA certified)— but Urban Thai delivers in every way.
We started with the chicken mono and Tom yum soup — both were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. For the main course, I had the shechuan chicken, Every bite was harmony of sweet, savory, and spice. You can tell the chefs put care and tradition into every dish.
Takbir our server was prompt, friendly, and helpful — they even offered spice level options to match our preferences. The presentation was beautiful, and prices were more than reasonable for the quality of food and experience.
Whether you’re looking for a casual dinner, a family meal, or a new halal favorite, Urban Halal Thai is a must-visit. This place is a rare find and absolutely worth the trip. Highly...
